Just had the greatest game as Miracle Rogue vs Secret Mage. I don't think I've ever gotten so lucky. T1 Swashburglar into Kabal Courier. T3 Kabal Courier into Lyra the Sunshard. I just fed Lyra all of the cheap spells that I would normally have used on my Auctioneers and she repaid me with 3 Silences and 3 Circle of Healings. That lead to me having a 6/6 Questing Adventurer, an Arcane Giant, and a 10/10 Edwin on T6. Needless to say, the game didn't last very long after that.
Definitely would've been salty if I was on the receiving end of that RNG fueled rampage.
Finally! Only took like 3 months of 1 or 2 games a day for those last 50 wins. Just didn't really have any desire to play, but with all the rest of my heroes sitting between 150 and 250 wins hopefully deck diversity will rekindle my interest.
Finally realized that Stonehill Defender is holding a shield. It always looked like a little pirate hat to me and I had never really looked at the card. Definitely makes more sense now.
I just had the best game I've played since MSoG dropped. It was in Wild and I was playing N'zoth Hunter vs a Goons Paladin. We went back and forth and both board and card advantage for a long time and the game ended with both of us having ~5 cards in our decks. It was a hard fight that I only just barely won and it was fun and exciting from start to finish. My only regret is that Hearthstone crashed out as I was queuing into my next match so I don't think my friend request went through. These are the games that keep me coming back for more, and luckily they always seem to show up as I start to get bored with the meta and feel like I'm just spinning my wheels.
So if you see this mystery player whose name I don't remember, thanks for the inspiration!
Getting wins with Hunter in this meta is just so damn satisfying. Granted I'm still bouncing around in pleb ranks (15-10), but I'm having loads of fun doing it. Also, I think I accidentally stepped into a time portal for my last few games. Faced 2 people with the old school Aggro Shaman with Rockbiter/Doomhammer/4 mana 7/7 and two people with pre-Kara Zoolock decks. It was pretty strange, but 4 wins is 4 wins so I'm not complaining.
Won an Arena game where I was at 1 health vs my opponents 24 and managed to retake the board and whittle them down over the next three turns. Never give up! Never surrender! Also got a Legendary and an Epic in my pack. Both garbage but it's better than 40 dust at least. Plus the Legendary was Auctionmaster Beardo so I might be able to work him into a fun deck at some point.
Just beat a Jade Druid in Wild/Casual with a 30 class card Rogue deck. It wasn't the exact list from Standard at least (Ironbark Protector/Sludge Belcher), but it was still pretty satisfying. Even got to swing for lethal with my own Jade Golem which I produced with a Burgled card.
Had the 75 Battlecries quest so I made a shitty version of Renolock with 30 Battlecry minions. First game was vs a relentlessly BMing Jade Golem Rogue. They were all "wows" and "thanks" until I Reno'd back from 9 health and proceeded to hand them their ass. Pleasant Feast of Winter Veil!
More pepper from winning games with trash decks made for the new quests. This time it was a 30 Shaman class card deck that was the first 30 cards in the Shaman list. I won three in a row beating a Demon Warlock, C'thun Priest, and then some awkward Druid that seemed to be piloted by a really new player. Highlights were a double Ancestral Spirit and double Primal Fusion on a Dust Devil vs the Druid and casting double Totemic Might, double Ancestral Healing, and two Primal Fusions on two different totems for two 4/10 taunters that the Priest had no way of dealing with.
Had two quests this morning and finally had the motivation to clear them so I decided to do the Play 50 Warlock cards quest first. Built a deck of 30 Warlock cards and headed into Casual in Wild for some lols. Ended up clearing the quest in three games. Won the first game because my opponent conceded on turn 6 (I"m assuming they completed their quest cause nothing had really happened yet), lost the second vs a pretty standard Control Warrior (thanks for playing in Casual buddy), and won the last one vs a Shaman after ending my turn with lethal on the board 4 times and finally swinging with a 21/4 Darkshire Councilman.
My next quest was to win two games as Mage/Shaman. Decided to run Mage and threw together a 30 spell deck before heading back into Casual Wild. It only took three games to clear two wins, and funnily enough my two wins were vs constructed Tempo Mages.
All in all it was a satisfying morning of Hearthstone.
Finally got my golden Warlock. Now to never play that class again lol. Also, switching back to standard for the time being. If I never play another game vs a Secret Pally it'll be too soon.
Finally started to git gud as far as arena drafts are concerned. My average was generally 3 wins with 5 constituting an amazing run and one 11 win fluke, but this month my average has risen to 7 wins. Unfortunately, now I'm addicted. Every 150g I accumulate goes right back into another arena run so my rewards mostly amount to dust at this point. It's still quite promising though and it should be awesome once the next expac drops. Ladder fatigue had caused me to pull back from Hearthstone but now it's like I've found a whole new game. Hoping to hit the 12 win mark before the end of October!

Beating Quest Rogue with a 30 murloc Murlocalypse deck and getting 200g instead of 100 due to the midsummer stuff, hnnnnnngh.

Drawing both of my Alleycats with The Coin vs. PW and continuing to draw the nuts causing them to concede with an empty board on T5, feelsgoodman.
