so we can pretty much guarantee a strong 2 drop for the paladin, something in the range of a 2-3 or 3-2 with a strong ability. Maybe something to combo with Muster for Battle or Coghammer, but what i'd really like to see is a card that's going to help us in the early game against aggro. Maybe a straight 2-2 with divine shield ? or a 2-3 mech that spawns a 1/1 mech token ?
we also know that the paladin lacks any hard removal so i'm hoping that we get a rare or epic type of removal spell. (One can always dream right? lol)
So anyway, lets see what this community can come up with!
Maybe a new Secret spell. Something like the blinding light spell from WoW. (Which blinds your enemies) which when activated (by either attacking minions or the face) will blind all the opponent's minions giving them 50% chance to attack a friendly target this turn. ( good for stalling aggro decks )
Honestly I think paladins deserves a 1 mana "instantly win the game" card for all the suffering they've gone through :P
But I think a 4 mana card that gives all your minions divine shield could be possible... Control Paladins really need some early game too, so a 2-3 mana taunt minion would be fantastic. But the legendary could be really anything... Something aggressive like a 6 mana charge could work, or a beefy 7-9 taunt would be good too. But i definitely think that there will & should be a focus on divine shield. Just my thoughts ^ ^

if you watch the begin of the gvg trailer you'll see some cards of the expansion. the classcategory and rarity isnt correct (all legendary and warlock) but the stats, images and manacosts are all right. under these cards is a 2 mana 2/2 mech with something like a divine shield. probably a paladin card.
same happened in the naxxramas trailer (baron rivendare and maexxna)
Here are the released cards so far for the Paladin class

we can expect that all the classes will get 2-3x commons , 3x rares , 2x epics and 1 legendary so that leaves us with:
-2-3 common
-1 rare
-1 epic

Now when we look at the other class minions in the 2 mana slot (Snowchugger, Shrinkmeister, [card]Goblin Auto-Barber[/card]and [card]Whirling Zap-o-matic[/card]) we can already see a pattern.

I really hope for some sort of silence minion with on curve stats.
Good call, there isn't a lot of minion with a silence battlecry and a strong body, that would be useful against early undertakers and divine shields

A 2-2 with divine shield could be very average when you think of it.

well for 1 mana you get a 1/1 divine shield
and for 3 mana you get a 3/1 divine shield
Maybe make it 2/2 divine shield with charge ?

I really struggle to understand why this is a thread... This close to release the cards're almost certain to have been "printed" already.
