I always have it when I don't need it or have no minions to play, or I have other cards that I could play that would help me more than this would benefit me.
Do you run one or two? I play Shaman heavily (level 58), and haven't used Bloodlust in probably 2-3 months. However, if I did, I would only have one in my deck to try to avoid the scenario you mentioned where you have it as a dead card in your hand. Secondly, I would make sure that it was a control-heavy deck that would allow me to put out creatures that would last, while removing threats with spells as much as possible, so that I would have the board presence to use BL. I hope that's not too general, but those are the principles I would have in mind when building a deck that tried to make use of BL.
Alternately, you could try to just go aggro or see if a version of Reynaud's Zoo works to get enough low level minons on the board and then RAWWRARARAWW
It typically works out well as I get a lot of minions on the board quickly, but every time I'm about to play lust, my minions are taken out with AOE, or I need the 5 mana to drop something else or use a hex.I end up NOT using this card more often then not.
I'm thinking I should drop this card or at least one of them and add something better in.
I don't play shaman much but I honestly can't see bloodlust being good in any deck other than aggro. In control, you generally have bigger problems to focus on than finishing your opponent. If the shaman class had a spell like Druid (Force of Nature), then maybe people would run it more often.

I agree. The more I use it...or don't actually GET to use it, the more I think it should be shelved.
It fits my play style, but only if the stars align, which is pretty much never.
Going to try replacing it and seeing how it feels. I rather have a card I can play and get some traction than something that just sits in my hand waiting to be played until I die.
I add Bloodlust now and then, in a mid shaman deck, with enough low cost minion where I've actually found it more useful than I thought previously, perhaps just lucked out in situations. Not treating it as a finisher either which is what most ppl hope for it. For me it's just added burst. Or removal. However, it's in spot that I experiment with, there's definitely key cards I'd never run over Bloodlust nor is it key as a finish in my deck, just an alternative or bonus burst. It can often be dead. With overload as well it's tough to play. Against aggro, it's pretty poor, though, occasionally can work when opponent goes for face and allows your totems and such to be played. But usually I end up going with something more consistent.
Force of Nature and Savage Roar is clearly superior finisher combo; people hold onto those for the finish, and only use one when forced to. So those even cards usually can be dead in hand for sometime as well. Difference is it's way more consistent finisher/combo play than Bloodlust. Basically if Bloodlust is a KEY "finisher" for your deck you'll be very disappointed unless you revolve around Bloodust which can be very mixed an inconsistent.
Also Force of Nature and Savage roar both work by themselves as moderately okay cards. FOrce of nature is six mana for six damage, not spectacular but its better then bloodlust on an empty board. Savage roar is strictly better than claw if you have even a single minion on the board too

I can never find a good time to use this card.

Any help?

Yea, I'm running a heavy aggro deck.
I run two.
