Hi guys, I decided to make another post about this topic since threads about BMing are all over the place on Hearthpwn lately. The thing is, there is not as much BMing in this game as a lot of people seems to think, but that is another history. What I want to talk about here is how to make your opponents add you through the chat in a friendly way (or how you can add them without expecting insults from them). I usually don't have any problem with my opponents, I can chat with them after the matches, and most of them emote me "Well Played" after I defeat them (in constructed and arena). So, I wanted to share with you guys some tips that can help you to have the same experiences than me, and enjoy this game in all it's glory :P. Here are my suggestions:
1: Try to avoid playing cancer decks (for example: Facehunter, Secret Paladin). Some people doesn't care too much about it, but most of them does.
2: Always emote "Greetings" at the start of the match (so you can start a kind of "in game" conversation) and emote for example "Well Played" when your opponent makes a good play or the turn he defeats you.
3: Try to avoid emoting "Sorry" most of the time. Well, also, try to avoid spamming emotes, that is a bad thing.
4: Use some effective tech cards while playing very well know meta decks (in constructed of course) so your opponent would be surprised (in a good way) of you. This is very important.
5: Try to avoid obvious missplays and think very well about your plays (but try to avoid roping), since a lot of people hate losing to bad players and blame RNG most of the time because of it; BUT, if you missplay, emoting "Oops" is a good thing on this case.
6: Don't rope when it is not neccesary. There is nothing more disgusting for a lot of people than wasting their time. Playing ladder is not the same as playing a tournament, so roping is a bad things; except, of course, if it is a "difficult" turn that requires a lot of thinking, but if that is the case, probably your opponent already knows about it and understands the situation.
Well, this are some of my suggestion, but I'm pretty sure that there are other ones too, that can help people to have a good time while playing this game and chating with other players (as I do). If someone knows more of them, please, share them on this thread.
If you are playing Warlock, it's ok to threaten your opponent instead of greeting him. After all... Warlock are not supposed to be kind.
I usually hit ''Your soul shall be mine'' if it's a Mage, a Paladin or a Hunter. Otherwise, it's squelch without emote.
especially so if you're Jaraxxus, only OBLIVION should be used (I don't have him in my collection yet, so in those rare moments I get him in brawls, arenas or from portals/thoughsteals, I enjoy it properly xD)

Jaraxxus is not a gentleman. Spam emotes in CAPS LOCKS... that's just the cherry on top.

As far as the topic goes, i don't see a need to be a gentleman to my opponents. I am smashing their face after all. I doubt my action, or lack thereof will ease their pain in any way.
If you can't deal with defeat and have to convince your opponents that they should package the ass-whooping with a ribbon on top then that's your problem. Most of us dish out our smackdowns the way it should be, ruthless and ferocious with no regards for your "feelings".
OOOOR, oooor: simply don't emote SHIT. Don't greet, don't say well played and NEVER, under any circumstance (except of course receiving BM from the other end) say "oops" or "sorry".
My logic is:
1. Emotes are part of the game, people will be asshats about it, no way around that. Hell, I'm gonna be an asshat when RNG is totally one sided (a.k.a. your everyday druid opponent pulls turn 3 astral communion and follows up with AoL... fuck you buddy, you've been trying this for 28 games and just happened to pull it off against me? Right here buddy ,|,, ... and I mean this in a funny way, but hey, don't blame me for spamming "well played" for the rest of the game, you deserve it).
2. Even a sincere "well played" after a good play by your opponent can be interpreted as a "haha, well played n00b".
3. I get distracted sometimes when I'm thinking about my play as I go trough the moves and the opponent emotes something.
So yeah, just leave your opponent alone, that's what I do.
1. Emote spam. I don't auto-squelch, but obviously at the first sign of that I do. No, dude, you are not "in my head": You're just annoying.
2. In-game "Sorry that happened." As in--sorry I just made such an awesome play with my awesome card because I'm so awesome. Only I'm not sorry, really, but you probably knew that, and we both know I'm just mainly being a dick here.
3. In-game "Thanks." As in--thanks for making that crappy play and all but guaranteeing my victory, you dumbass.
My favorite is always when you can win the game ultimately after a #2 or a #3. I can think of at least two occasions in the past week when I've done this. At that point, the correct move is to return the previous asshole spam, after total silence in the meantime, right before you obliterate them.

LOL, that makes sense, but you aren't going to make new friends with that attitud :P
It's pretty simple.
1- Don't emote ever except when bad shit happens to you, then you can say "well played" sarcastically.
2- Don't waste people's time on purpose
If you're really sorry or really want to say "well played", add people as friends and actually tell them. That's what I do.

It always makes me happy when an opponent opens with a greeting.
It reminds me that i forgot to squelch them.
The most common mistake I make in my matches is forgetting to squelch.
It is very funny that some people make fun of my thread, and then they cry like babies because of BMing.
Apart from the Sorry spam i don't think anything else is considered BM
Thanking a concede is max BM.
IMO the three main emote asshole moves are:

It's very funny that you think that the people who make fun of your thread and those who cry about BM are the same people.
