A bit on and off topic question : Do we know how experience points are calculated so there might be a way to maximise the xp during each game?
I'm just curious because sometimes it looks like it's taking me forever to get one level and other times i level up very fast!
I think longer games just give more xp! And also, winning gives you A LOT more xp than losing but that sorta makes sense. I wonder if spamming a bunch of zoo and winning quick games gives more xp/hour than playing control warrior/paladin and just winning some long games... does anyone know?
I really wish the level 60 class rewards were better. Why not give the class legendary for hitting 60? And if you don't want it or need it then it's a free 400 dust. Way better than a golden Ironfur Grizzly to be honest.
Well it's right that leveling to 60 may take a while but HS already release for like a year now . Time go by, you will have all your hero at level 60; it's not that long
like rukia said. hell, i started hearthstone near the end of summer and my paladin is at level 58 which all my other classes in the 30's. it doesn't take long to max characters

I started in May 2014 and have a level 60 Hunter. My highest rank in a season was 16. I read on another site that 75% of HS players are ranked between 25-15 (granted, not sure of the methodology of the study, but the findings were interesting). The study noted that above rank 15, the percentage of players drops drastically. Those who consistently ranked above 10 each season are in the single digit percentile range (I refer to these people as the Grandmasters of HS). This is comparable to playing chess.
Regardless, if you are ranked at 1 or 20, you still have to grind out the wins (500). Some may say that it is quicker for the higher ranks, but I would disagree because at some point a person is playing at their highest ability (rank), and is incurring the same challenges as those who are ranked lower. Granted a person who consistently ranks at 16, but stays around 20 can easily win games to get to 500. However, a person who is ranked at 1, but stays around rank 10 can do the same thing. In the end it is 500 wins, so my congratulations to every person who reaches rank 60 for their favorite character, and earns 500 wins and goes gold.
In closing: My favorite deck is the Hunter, and I hope to see all of you across the "table" from me one day. If so, "Watch...your...back." OK, I know that is another character, but hey, I like the slogan.
Shaman is only my 3rd most played class in ranked too. Pretty much all the levels are from arena. They were my #1 choice pre-GvG. It's pretty cool to get these otherwise unobtainable golden cards from leveling up. I think getting a class legendary might be viable in an expansion. Right now, it doesn't make sense as this is the only way to get certain golden cards (which are essential for Golden Old Murk-Eye) that you otherwise couldn't. Rogue has the best golden cards past 50 imo, and they're my least played class :(
I don't know why they felt the need to do all that work when there is just this website (http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Level) with all the info... Someone else might have posted it before but I can't be bothered to read pages 2-19.

Reached level 60 with warlock already and now working on both Paladin, Mage and druid. I just suck at the remaining classes si will deal with them later on.
What I really want is the gold Innervate not to look like crap :( I mean it looks ok I guess but there's just so little going on, compared to something like Wild Growth for example
I agree with you with the golden innervate...it looks so lifeless and faded. Lacking the deep redness of the normal innervate.
These are golden basic cards and can only be achieved by getting the class and getting it to level ten for all of the basic cards that aren't golden for the class, and by the time your at 60 for every class every single basic card will have a golden variant.

"Whoops."
Looks awesome =)
And thanks for this thread
Such a useful post. Thank you
Indeed the more cards destoyed / played gives you more xp. Also very important is to win the game obviously ;)
Probably play at low rank and concede to keep your rank low so your match can go really fast
Nothing to see here

I hope they eventually add more rewards beyond level 60. Once you hit it, it's almost a disincentive to continue playing that class.
Besides golden portraits if you're into ranked.
Feel free to add me if you play on NA! iMPose#1429
Finally managed to level up all heroes to lvl 60 :D
I did not try too hard, i mean i simply played with some classes more often in ranked to max them out.
Good jerb, Alperon. Such respect
Well I am about here right now (see attachments)

I have no time for gains!

all the good golden basics cards are earned by leveling up rogue and warri, and I hate both classes :CCC
Level 45 warlock got a golden Drain Life.
"Be excellent to each other." Bill and Ted
Almost all at 60. Only rogue and priest at 33. Rest @ 60.
