You need a BattleTag and a trial game license or a full... a trial game license or a full license to post on the official Hearthstone forums
Okay, let me first start out by saying I think I've purchased about 40 dollars worth of cards from this game so far, and only started 4 days or so ago. With that said, all of the decks that everyone are playing after you reach level 10-20 seem to be filled with really hard cards to achieve in the game, and it used to be that I could play a deck (basic high rated deck from hearthpwn or hearthhead) and win 40 coins for quests, and then maybe 20 or 30 per day for 3 wins in a row, but now I can't win one game meaning I'm not getting coins for quests and I'm not getting coins for winning 3 in a row, thus I am at a stalemate in being able to win matches until I cough up more dough to Blizzard.
Can anyone please please explain to me why this is so? I was really loving this game, and I don't mind spending money, but OMG how much money do I have to spend regularly to be able to play this game and have fun anymore? I'm not rich, and I have a feeling this game is going to lose a lot of players with lesser bank account balances.
It's possible I'm missing something. So far I've gotten all the basic cards from every hero, and have a few legendary, rares, etc. I don't have all the cards needed for any popular deck that everyone is playing. I watch streams on twitch and ustream on how to control the board, and manage your cards, and make them work with others in a deck and yet still I never win anymore.
Just some information about me, and I'd appreciate any advise. I really do like this game, but no game is worth 40.00 per month to play, sorry.
You obtain an MMR (MatchMakerRating), which helps the system to find an opponent worthy of your "skill". It pairs two players with nearly the same MMR. Whenever you win a game, your MMR increase, when you lose it drops a bit. Sometimes, the system doesn't work perfectly, giving you an opponent way above your MMR (and vice versa). In addition: Some players are better than their MMR suggests, but they climb rather quick out of it.
What it doesn't take into account is your overall deckquality. While at lower MMRs a rather weak deck played by a good player still mostly wins, once you reach certain MMRs your deck has to compete with way better qualities. Mind you, deckquality doesn't mean having tons of orange. It just means you have an optimal manacurve, good synergie between cards and so on. So you might want to reconsider some cardchoices you made for your deck and switch out a card here and there to increase your overall deckquality.
My suggestion for you: Take a break from constructed, and try again in some days or maybe give arena a chance. It is a much more entertaining mode to play (and in my oppinion a way better place to invest real money if you want to).
Another good idea is just watching streams and try to learn from them. You might find some entertaining streamers in our streamers section (or via the stream button right at the top).

This pretty much sums it up. You can't expect to have a fair play experience in ranked against players that have 3-4 months worth of gameplay building up their card collections.
Don't do your quests in ranked mode.
Play Casual and you're MMR should hopefully drop down to where you're playing against players with similar cards/skill as yourself.
Do lots of arena, It's fun and is fair to new players and is the best way to build up your card collection.

I'm very frustrated at this point.
This right here is why this game is going to fail!
It's so p2w, it's very unfriendly to casuals. They are going to be faced with shit they can't deal with, and have no choice but to quit.
I see Solar has moved on to a thread that contains no proof that getting to legend ranks without legendaries cards is very possible. I guess he needs to feed his delusion elsewhere.
Anyhow, if you want some inspiration, check out the following thread:
Don't believe this Solarthermal fellow. Check the deck I linked - like I said, someone took it to legendary in the last week, and it contains no epic or legendary cards.
Hi guys - first thanks for all the responses, they are well received. I'd like to say that I have not played Arena but once which was one of my first attempts at playing the game, at the time I was unaware it was my only 'freebee', or what Arena was compared to Play (general/legendary). I am not looking to sink a lot of money into this game every month, only every so often but I would like to be able to compete. I'm not sure having a game that requires huge loads of cash to get cards capable of competing is going to succeed with people who aren't rich.
I love to play the Rogue, it's my absolute favorite. However today I have to win with a Druid and Hunter 2x for my Quest and I just won my first match since 8am EST (its now 3pm) as a druid, so I'm 1/2 towards my free 40 GP, and 1/3 for wins in a row for 10 GP.
I should also mention I have not played Ranked at all because I don't feel good enough to even try, at this point I've only played general attempting to win as much gold as possible, and then going over to crafting and turning my duplicates into Arcane Dust and then buying cards to make a deck worthy of playing (and that is one element to this game I love, the fact that you can actually turn cards into AD and buy new ones), However my gripe really is that every deck I played today has pulled out rares and legendaries, and most seem to be carbon copies of decks that are rated high on this site, or hearthhead. That scares me.
Is there anywhere in Hearthstone that gives you an export feature of a list of your current card library so that I might be able to share with you all my library, maybe you have some suggestions? Also I would really like to make friends who understand the game, and learn from them - are any of you talkative, and helpful who stream matches? I really have high hopes for this game, but the fact that I'm not rich is a major issue, not only that but time too... I'm a singer/guitarist in a rock band and also have a daughter living with me every other week, so things can get very hectic. But I'm a developer by day so I do get to spend some 'off times' playing a few games a day, and then nail it some more later in the evening/night.
Thanks guys, what a wonderful community you got here. I didn't get one bad reply telling me I suck at life, so rare and appreciated.

How about a third option, go to forums and whine about it instead of trying to get better or seek help?
As for the thread, I would suggest browsing this for a deck that you have cards for, and then building from there. Any deck can compete if you master it. There's also this, if you want some suggestions on gaining experience.
Believe what? I didn't say anything that needed to be believed in, it was all factual.
Yes, you said "They are going to be faced with shit they can't deal with, and have no choice but to quit."
But if you play in casual and lose a few times, your MMR will drop until you are facing players who you have around a 50% chance of beating (unless you really are one of the worst players in the bottom 1% of course).
So what you said is factually incorrect, because you completely ignored the effect of the MMR on who you get matched with in casual.
Anyway, looking at your posts, every single one of them is confrontational, rude and nasty. I imagine your unbanned days are numbered. :)

Actually, because of the win streak bonus, you are always higher than you should be based on chance.
Blizzard has invited over a million to closed beta, but there weren't even close to that # playing. Guess why? People kept quitting! This game isn't about the long haul, it's about getting new players in, and making them feel obligated to spend $ to advance! After awhile they catch on though, but not before dumping near full retail, $60, on a game worth about $10.
f2p is a misnomer, and generally a scam with very few exceptions, like LoL!
I expected more from blizzard though, it's too bad.
Hey guys, just an update. I tried the Druid Spell Power (http://www.hearthhead.com/deck=9757/druid-spellpower) and won 3 games in a row, and got my 40GP, my 10GP and I even won 300 more GP for having won 100 games in Hearthstone (seems I've been playing a lot in the last couple of days)
Ben Brode on Twitter - "Casual tries to quickly find you an opponent with equal skill. It adjusts your hidden MMR quickly when you lose or win streak."
So you are NOT "always higher than you should be based on chance". Not in Casual.
(But there's quite a few good cheap ones around. You won't get to the top ranks, but you should be able to do your dailies in casual. Like I said earlier, if you lose a few games your MMR ("matchmaking ranking") will go down to match you with easier players to beat. :)

I don't have all the cards to make that deck unfortunately.

How do you explain people in legendary without spending a dime? There was a guy streaming it a while back.
Oh that's right you don't know what you are talking about.
No one listen to this scrub. Get good at arena/drafting and u will be MORE than fine.
I probably spent a total of 5 € for this game and I have pretty much every rare in the game. Also just crafted my 3rd legendary (of course I have had more from packs) yesterday. Definitely not pay to win, but I'm not going to argue it doesn't give you a headstart.
Hey man don't forget you only started playing. Yeah you have spent money but you did not get the cards you wanted or the cards that you see everyone else use; well welcome to the club. In any game like this it is hard to find your stride in the game because you don't have everything that someone else has but that is a good thing as it creates diversity.
The best thing for you to do is to first find a play mode that you are good at, so either you are a try hard and like the challenge of ranked games, or you are deck tester and want to test crazy combos in casual play. You may be very lucky person and good deck creator and fall in love with arena. After you find a game mode you like try and understand the style of deck you like to play; are you an aggressive, control, swarm or a combination of, type of player. Then just find a class that works for you and your play style; then precede to play a lot of it and by doing this you will understand the game and the other classes and cards and how to handle them.
It really is that easy. Too many people want to be at the top but don't realize that you have to understand yourself and how you play first and then, understand your decks and class and after that understand the game and the other classes to be a top player.
I wonder how many people actually expect ranking to work like leveling up in an MMO. Having players start out by "leveling their class" may well be sending the wrong message.

Incorrect. There's a win streak bonus for ranked, but it's different for casual.
In casual, your MMR goes up OR down rapidly if you win or lose a few games in succession.
See http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Matchmaking from which I quote:
Ben Brode on Twitter - "Casual tries to quickly find you an opponent with equal skill. It adjusts your hidden MMR quickly when you lose or win streak."
So you are NOT "always higher than you should be based on chance". Not in Casual.
