Dude, the only skill in this game is creating the deck, which most people bypass by copying popular decks on the net. Seriously, there are only a few possible attack combinations, and cards that can be played any one turn. A little experience is all that is required to know the best move.
man the fact you got rolled by that combo just speaks how loudly you need to rework your decks. All classes have atleast 1 staple class card to handle huge minions like that unless you're just throwing whatever you have mana down for thats playable. Then there are the classes that have like 2 or 3 class cards to handle that as well that arent quite as staple but still worth tossing in sometimes. 6 non legendary neutral removal cards to handle that as well. Not trying to say you're bad, just pointing out that huge amount of removal/CC in the game. Hell my favorite thing to do against the silly Priests that do that play is to toss a faceless manipulator to force them to either trade or start making them pull mistakes. Sapping a super buffed one is pretty funny to after watching them go through the motions of working towards that combo, even better is when I Faceless Manip it then sap it then I just lolol when they concede cause they dont have removal in hand
Are you joking? Just because a counter exist doesn't mean it's in your hand so early in the game.
As a player who is at Rank 2 and who competes in tournaments of the such, no one uses these rush decks because they suck. No, not because we have legendary's that counter them, because it is very simple to out play them. If they were very overpowered, then they would be seen in the tournament deck lists. The amount of complaining people do whenever a certain deck or deck strategy comes up is hilarious. It is not that you don't pay for it, it is because you simply lack the skill. I don't want to put it bluntly but it isn't going through your heads. Enter tournaments and see what decks give you trouble, even try using one of these rush decks if you want.
In other words, you have a p2w legendary deck, but can't even make it to legendary. Yet, you want to talk about being outplayed? ROFL! Ohh the irony. Thanks for the laugh.
The more I play constructed the more I hate it. 80% of the matches are just braindead hyper aggro
your absolutly right, it looks like most players think "if i cant beat them i join them".. played 5 games before the servers did go down (EU) and face all the classes, all aggro, all the same face/charge minions.
i think the core of the problem are the neutral (1-6 mana) charge minions, they make it so you can make every class a aggro face one, and in combination with weapons (warrior/paladin/rogue) almost unstoppable.
Try to stop them with taunts then wait to get blacknighted or silenced...
The problem is rushing is too effective period. The game is just so out of balance!
Haha wow, so the only way he can prove you wrong that the game is not p2w is if he becomes the number 1 Hearthstone player. xD
pretty much.
if the optimal deck is a non-legendary one then the game isn't pay2win. this is not the case, reynad's warrior deck is in fact improved with legendaries.
the definition of pay2win. pay to get an edge.
Damn straight. I am tired of people misconstruing the definition of p2w.
The meta is pure shit. In fact, constructed seems to be pure shit! Blizzard has fucked it up good going too hardcore p2w, and making rushing too effective. Those will be the only 2 viable meta's, ever! Though technically rushing isn't really viable, as it gets crushed by the p2w decks too, but it at least allows you to compete somewhat.
The issue is there is nothing in between! Legendary up, or rush, and if you play anything else, well fuck you!
Watch Reynad. Got to legendary with only common and basic cards. You are wrong, period.
Seeing as he did it with a lame ass to the face rush deck, weeks after the top players are already in legendary....
Believe what? I didn't say anything that needed to be believed in, it was all factual.
Yes, you said "They are going to be faced with shit they can't deal with, and have no choice but to quit."
But if you play in casual and lose a few times, your MMR will drop until you are facing players who you have around a 50% chance of beating (unless you really are one of the worst players in the bottom 1% of course).
So what you said is factually incorrect, because you completely ignored the effect of the MMR on who you get matched with in casual.
Actually, because of the win streak bonus, you are always higher than you should be based on chance.
Blizzard has invited over a million to closed beta, but there weren't even close to that # playing. Guess why? People kept quitting! This game isn't about the long haul, it's about getting new players in, and making them feel obligated to spend $ to advance! After awhile they catch on though, but not before dumping near full retail, $60, on a game worth about $10.
f2p is a misnomer, and generally a scam with very few exceptions, like LoL!
I expected more from blizzard though, it's too bad.
I see Solar has moved on to a thread that contains no proof that getting to legend ranks without legendaries cards is very possible. I guess he needs to feed his delusion elsewhere.
Anyhow, if you want some inspiration, check out the following thread:
Don't believe this Solarthermal fellow. Check the deck I linked - like I said, someone took it to legendary in the last week, and it contains no epic or legendary cards.
Believe what? I didn't say anything that needed to be believed in, it was all factual.
New players are going to come in, hit the card wall, and be face with 3 options.
p2w
quit
slowly grind forever
The ones who p2w, will continually keep hitting the card wall again and again, and be faced with the same options. Eventually, most will get sick of it and quit, but Blizzard keeps the $.
It's like a scam! They are pissing on us without even the courtesy of calling it rain!
Tried posting this at the actual Blizzard forum for Hearthstone, but I get this message
You need a BattleTag and a trial game license or a full... a trial game license or a full license to post on the official Hearthstone forums
Okay, let me first start out by saying I think I've purchased about 40 dollars worth of cards from this game so far, and only started 4 days or so ago. With that said, all of the decks that everyone are playing after you reach level 10-20 seem to be filled with really hard cards to achieve in the game, and it used to be that I could play a deck (basic high rated deck from hearthpwn or hearthhead) and win 40 coins for quests, and then maybe 20 or 30 per day for 3 wins in a row, but now I can't win one game meaning I'm not getting coins for quests and I'm not getting coins for winning 3 in a row, thus I am at a stalemate in being able to win matches until I cough up more dough to Blizzard.
Can anyone please please explain to me why this is so? I was really loving this game, and I don't mind spending money, but OMG how much money do I have to spend regularly to be able to play this game and have fun anymore? I'm not rich, and I have a feeling this game is going to lose a lot of players with lesser bank account balances.
It's possible I'm missing something. So far I've gotten all the basic cards from every hero, and have a few legendary, rares, etc. I don't have all the cards needed for any popular deck that everyone is playing. I watch streams on twitch and ustream on how to control the board, and manage your cards, and make them work with others in a deck and yet still I never win anymore.
Just some information about me, and I'd appreciate any advise. I really do like this game, but no game is worth 40.00 per month to play, sorry.
I'm very frustrated at this point.
This right here is why this game is going to fail!
It's so p2w, it's very unfriendly to casuals. They are going to be faced with shit they can't deal with, and have no choice but to quit.
The more questionable things are how he ended up with a stonetusk boar and battlerage in that deck. Gnomish inventor is pretty questionable there as well.
How are gnomish inventor, an battlerage questionable? I can think of way worse picks.

Why, do you think it's played a lot, because of the pretty picture?

Yah shitty rush decks work well in this game. Who cares? Why are you bringing this up here? Butthurt much?
ROFL You got so pwned in that thread btw!

This.
It's set up for you to fail, so that for 99% of players entering arena is no different than buying a pack of cards.
