Some dude created a shame list and posted it all over the forums. Nothing new - happens on reddit all the time, and it'll get deleted pretty quickly off of here. But, that list did remind me of something very funny that happened today.
I was facing off against a Mill Druid - you know, a run of the mill....mill, druid. Fairly competent. I won't name names, obviously, but let's call this guy Chippy Chalmers, the greatest butler in the world. So Chippy was actually doing quite well - a lasting match. Unfortunately, I was running a Knife Hunter deck against him, so every time he made me draw, he basically just handed me ammunition as fast as I could play it. A nasty combination of two Knife Jugglers, a Cult Master, and lots of angry and frothing hounds ended up being Chippy's downfall. Game match, and I give him a fond "Well Played." After that, I send him a friend request - a I said, guy put up a decent match and it's always the kind of guy I like having on a friend list. After a few minutes, he accepted......and proceeded to smother me in insults and profanities left and right before un-friending me.
It kind of amazes me how two different people can have such a crazy different reaction towards the same match. I wanted a new friend, and he wanted murder me. And as our Pillar of Salt today demonstrated, some people are willing to go pretty far out to let us know they hate our guts.
So, any of you guys have amusing stories of somebody going far out to hate you beyond just spamming endless taunts? And please, a few ground rules:
Keep it civil!
NO NAME SHAMING!!! Just use Chippy Chalmers like I did if you want to name him. Chippy will be our universal placeholder.
Thankfully I have only ever had one Chippy Chalmers story in my entire Hearthstone life:
Very simple story. I was playing arena and beat some random guy. This guy proceeded to add me and insult me with things like "F%@K YOU!1" before unfriending me. The amusing thing was that while he was in my friends list I saw his activity being "claiming arena rewards" so that meant I just ended his arena run for him. Mildly satisfying to see that little detail.
Chippy has tried to add me on numerous occasions, usually after I unleashed an RNG slaughter upon him. I didn't have time for chit-chat after so had to decline these requests, but I'm sure he'll try again .... ;)

Ouch. Lol, you know, I've always wondered if any of these guys are streamers. One of these days, I'd LOOOOVE to kick a raging streamer's ass, and have my name appear on the video. :)
Chippy added me after an arena match where I was around 10 wins with a mage deck so he was probably high up as well (funny thing, as I accepted he just started a new run so that was probably his third loss). He started to explain how I was playing the easiest class in arena and was incredibly lucky.
After that he called me a fagot that should get cancer and removed me.
It's because of these guys that I'm never sure if I should add someone after a fun match since they might just start insulting me right off the bat or think that I’m a Chippy Chalmers and never ever add. Yesterday I had to add someone though because he was playing a Malygos rogue deck (which is one of my favorite decks) and he just started the conversation with "hi" and "gg" after which we had a regular conversation without the words "fagot" and "cancer".
Morale of the story, not everyone that adds you after a match is a Chippy Chalmers :3

I can vouch for this. I play on Asia mostly and I seriously think it's mostly an extremely positive gaming environment attitude wise. The only Chippy I ever met there was the one I mentioned above. In contrast to that I think at least 7 of the friends in my friends list are random people who added me or I added them after weird/fun/crazy matches that we had. We would have fun talking about our own random experiences in hearthstone afterwards.

That's awesome. Chippy but without a whole lot of Chalmers. Though to be perfectly honest, this druid was the first one I ever encountered.
For all those players that friend someone after they loose to say how retarded the other player is or they have no skill because they play an agro deck, remember a few things:
* you do not know who or what the other person is like unless you know them personally, so stop the crying and calling of names
* don't bitch at the other person for the game's rng or card draw, that is the game engine not the player
* don't complain for the other person going face when you yourself are playing an agro type of deck, last I remember, to win this game, you have to beat the other hero to zero health, it is the objective of the game
* just because I or someone else plays a hunter or some other agro deck, does not mean we cannot play other decks
---
don't tilt, just enjoy the game and have fun
there is much to learn in defeat as there is in victory
we have all tilted in regards to this game, in the end it is a "game"

just ignore them.i still accept friend request after a game regardless of the deck i happen to be using, because there's always the odd guy that adds me to ask for my decklist or congratulate me on a game well played(which i also do quite a lot)but when someone adds me with the sole purpose of raging,i just delete them and ignore whatever they said.kids crave attention, and the less you give them the angrier they get.
This should be a punishable offense, though. I'm usually okay with raging weirdos but when I'm already in a bad mood, they can get on my nerves. The least Blizzard could do is banning them from sending emotes and friend requests.
happened with me only 1 time, was playing as mage vs huntard, had kezan in hand but decided to use portal first, got some crap, used kezan, stole secret. Opponent concedes, adds me to friends and starts raging about my luck, apparently he can't even read if a minion was created by portal or not...had a good laugh tho
Sent requests to ask about their deck or to say nice game, wp: Denied.

plsplsplsplspls, seeing everyone call out to the same fictional guy sounded kinda funny to me.

When you win a game and get a hater: "omg it's jsut a game asdf stop being salty"
when you lose: "omg salt salt salt salt"
yeah don't be a hypocrite.

I don't believe that is necessary though. That is like restricting freedom of speech. If you are in a bad mood, don't accept friend requests.
