If Blizzard added a "No Rewards Casual" that matched you up against opponents with similar "no rewards" ranking but did not give gold, contribute to quests, or give any points towards tournaments, would you play it?
Do you think this would create a better or worse environment for people who "just want to mess around" with the cards they already have?
I think it would promote more fun games and decks, but likely wouldn't be played that often. I know I would play it here and there when I was looking for some fun games, and I'm sure others would too. It wouldn't be my go-to game mode but I would still use it. I think that would be a great feature to add!
I WOULD play a no reward, casual, preferrably ranked gamemode that allowed access to any cards free of charge
Nice idea! That would be a lot of fun actually, and would be different enough from regular casual that I would play it! This concept is one of the reasons I like to play arena, the chance to play with cards I don't own!
No. I'm not a competitive ranker so I have no problem playing everything in ranked, whether it's playing a deck I know to be good, whether it's testing a new deck, or whether it's trying to grind out a daily with a bad class. I'm happy getting a little gold and a couple of wins towards those far-off golden heroes, and wouldn't have any interest in a rewardless casual mode.
There needs to be some reward because unlocking packs is a grind.
I would like a weekly quest that says make a deck with XX cards, some card that is hardly played. This would be a nice challenge and a reason for me to make a fun deck and play in casual.
Or Blizz could make an actual casual mode where you can’t have any epic or legend cards in your deck.
Or Blizz could double the gold in ranked to get serious players and top tier decks out of casual.

That actually reminds me of this one card game I played in which there were daily and weekly tournaments and all of them had rules such as the number of cards allowed in a deck, the number of legendary, epic, and/or rare cards, what card types were allowed, and stuff like that. It would actually be really cool if Blizzard did stuff like that.
I think that this would be fun and I think it would be fun to create games with restrictions that people can opt to join. Kind of like how in Diablo you can create a game that is Torment 6 for rifting vs for bounties etc. I would love to be able to create an available game that was "no legendaries allowed" or "all cards have random effects" etc. and people could opt to join in for the lols.
The point in this thread is so that people can play non optimal decks and gimmicks instead of running into people who just farm casual for gold and quests Saying OH you can play with friends is not Right Since u want to play against other players and see others play style and ideas
I dont know how many of yall watch noxxic but he made a video about a mode where you could set custom rules in a lobby and host games with those rules with no reward in it. I would play that because it would be fun to play really strange matches with crazy rules but a mode where it is just "play with no reward" i wouldnt do because there really isnt a reason to

Yes. And I do think it'd be a better environment for messing around with gimmick decks and the like.

I have no time for gains!
I don't think I would play this. I can still play my fun/gimmicky decks in regular casual and get some gold for it.

That way, I can fuck around with gimmicky decks and cards and beginners cannot complain about the game being P2W

Why am I sticky?
Yes. Think of the fun I could have, if I wasn't concerned about making sure my deck could beat Face Hunter and Mech Mage.
Feel free to add me if you play on NA! iMPose#1429
God no, but plenty would.
Personally if I make a gimmick deck the fun is beating a serious deck, not some other gimmick deck
December rank 74 legend :)
What you are suggesting already exists, it's called Fireside Gathering and Friend lists.
No rewards ranking? Isn't that just normal casual mode's MMR ranking?
Is this a "Let us face other players with the same dust value" thread in disguise? :/
8/10 You did good!
If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)

Nope i would not play it. Heck, i don't even play the Heroic Mode of adventures as they add nothing to my card collection.
As a f2p, i can't afford to waste my game time on a mode that doesn't improve my card collection in any way.
Thread needs a poll btw.
