You don't deserve to play for free. The entitlement of some of you children is mind-blowing. You're lucky you even have the OPTION of grinding. Hearthstone was free to start, so saying you could have bought another game with the money you spent on 40 packs is irrelevant. You enjoy the game, Blizzard deserves to get paid for it, you paid for it.
I am 25 so hardly a child. I proposed a solution where you could buy the Whole game as any other PC game. But as soon as someone propose something else without whining or hating on blizzard, then people like you just can't stop with the judgemental insults.
It's a collectible card game. If you could just buy all the cards outright then there would be no point in playing. If you really want to "buy the game" you can spend a few thousand dollars on packs and you will have it all.
Deny yeah. But I do feel the OP though. I had an Golden Onyxia once, but there was no way to make it work ever. And i needed a good 6 drop for my ramp druid, and I didnt get why people didnt play Hogger, it looked like SUCH a potentially strong card, so i crafted it. Little did i know, that a 4 Health Hogger on turn 6 dies to EVERYTHING. If it was a 4-5 'spawn a 2-2' it might be playable, but still not good. So my golden onyxia became useless Hogger.

Because you cannot play to have fun? Look, I am not saying HS is not fun or anything. I play it myself and enjoy it a lot. I know blizzard wont change for me, because they make good Money with their current business model. I just note that I personally think it would be great to have some kind of way for people to buy specific legendaries, without dust or some other way without spendign 1000 of euro, since I know my friends stopped playing because the grinding time is too long. They were all F2P. My point to OP was just that it is very difficult to play and enjoy HS if you are F2P and nothing else.

If you're F2P Blizzard doesn't owe you a god damned thing and couldn't care less if you're not enjoying yourself. Why would they want to make a nonpaying customer happy? What do they have to gain from people who spend no money? They just use up resources on the server and effectively cost Blizzard money to host their cards and games, and then complain that it takes too long to get the cards they want for free.

Those non-paying customers, if having fun, could potentialy turn into paying customers. I know this from my experience with other free games, like Dota2 where the same friends of mine have bought skins/other non-game stuff. I know you cannot directly compare dota2 and HS, but dota 2 gives u all content for free, and it encourage you to support the game if you enjoy it.

You still have to grind in game money/points to buy heroes for free, just like packs in HS. Your argument is invalid.
I have friends who play Magic and star wars. Should they be able to spend $150 and get every card? I have spent less then they have for their games. Currently I have a higher percentage of cards then they do and they have been playing their game much longer and have spent way more than I have.
Actually due digital nature of the game, they could have made it so that buying packs give you golden versions of the cards and just give players the cards via leveling the heroes for example. You guys are forgetting and not really getting the fact that it is not a physical card game and what it actually means for a potential business model. It's too late now to change it though and Blizzard is making tons of money.

So what ur saying is, u dont like the game to be F2P (free to play), u would like it to be P2W (pay to win = buy only important cards, that u need). Yeah, ur barking on the wrong tree here.
FYI, i am pure F2P myself, i have like 90% of all cards (from just "casual" playing and arena), i enjoy the game. I dont need to pay for it (because that is an option), but i dont care if someone does pay, it is their choise.
I would argue, that it is even more fun to have a low collection of cards, ur glad for every new one and can find nice moments with decks u create from what u have (i know i did). If u want to get to legend etc, like i said before, u need to pay for progress, either money to buy packs to be able to craft "the best decks for current meta" or invest the time.

They do that and the game wouldn't have lasted a month. The percentage of players who would be prepared to pay money to get slightly nicer-looking versions of cards they already have is minuscule. The fact it isn't a physical card game is irrelevant. Cardboard is pretty cheap too.
The free to play model is infamously inefficient for the 'price' that you pay to acquire cards or champions or skins or whatever. That's how they keep making money.
What I would like to see is some kind of mode where people can opt in to something like no legendaries/epics because new players often express frustration when they lose to cards they can't acquire. In general it's frustrating to say, get Nat Pagle as your first legendary and run into someone who has Rag. This mode would let people who can't afford to (or don't want to) drop 50 dollars to get their KT/Thaurassian/Loatheb type cards to still compete with other (new) players and complete quests to build a collection through the grind method without feeling like they got pay to win'd out of the game.
I know players who are playing this game legit f2p and the process is alright but frequently they express frustration dealing with the KT/Thaurassian type cards that everyone has a guaranteed ability to acquire with enough time. I'm sure when they catch up via gold they won't mind so much, but the present situation can be disheartening to deal with when your late game consists of Boulderfist Ogres and their late game involves KT and Thaurassian.

No you don't. You clearly have never played Dota 2. Your have no argument.

No, you misunderstand Again. I dont want it to be P2w, I am just saying it is as a fact. Unless you have oceans of time and is unemployed or just really enjoy the repetition of grinding. I have played DOTA 2, while it was in closed beta. Forgive me for not remembering something from 3 years ago. My comparison aligns better with League of Legends or Heroes of the Storm, both of which are better mobas.
Valve knows what they are doing, even more so than Blizzard. Instead of making you to unlock their heroes with a real money, they give professionally made announcer packs and stuff like that. Their free to play business model overall is leap and bounds further than Blizzard's at the moment. It's interesting to see how they end up handling Overwatch. As a person with money I end up putting with Blizzard instead of actually voting with my wallet, so they are doing something right though.

I know u wanted the option to buy a specific card, so u can "have fun" with it, but i guess u dont understand, that that would practicly create the P2W model. And your point about "having oceans of time" and shit is SO invalid. It is YOURS problem, if u cant find the amusement in the game with what u have (or can afford), not the problem with the game model.

Having played all 3 games, (Hots in beta now), I find the lack of heroes in Hots and the P2W/grind aspect of LOL to be vastly inferior to dota2, and much less enjoyable. Dota 2 is proof that you can make a F2P business model with a game and succeed.

It was an example, not sure if it was the best idea. If you actually read my post you would see that I have lots of fun with the game, only because I spend Money on it. You being a F2P player is fine, I just dislike grinding day/night, HS is fun, but it is not my Whole life.

Their F2P model also attracts tons of people from third world countries with dialup that lag the hell out of servers and ruin the game experience for everyone. You're lucky to get a team with another person who even speaks English.

Yes and i understand that, but u cant want to change the entire business/game model just cause u dont like to spend money or grind. Everyone has the same options and if u dont like them, move on to some other game, that will be more fun for u. I understand what r u saying, but there is rly not any point in actually saying it, since nothing will change nor would it be rly fair to the most players.
Deny, for obvious reasons stated repeatedly in various threads all over HS.
Regarding the whole grinding-f2p-p2w thing, i remain befuddled. Why is it called grinding in the first place when you are actually PLAYING the game and GETTING REWARDED with gold at the same time? It's not like you are forced to lick 50 trees to get 10 gold, you only have to win 3 games. How is that "grinding"? You play the game, win, and get rewarded with gold, how much easier you want it to be? Being able to get cards just by scratching your balls? Not gonna happen.

Deny. Standard game cost these days is $60 + $15 in DLC.
That'll get you enough packs for the game to be fun.
