Regarding the whole grinding-f2p-p2w thing, i remain befuddled. Why is it called grinding in the first place when you are actually PLAYING the game and GETTING REWARDED with gold at the same time? It's not like you are forced to lick 50 trees to get 10 gold, you only have to win 3 games. How is that "grinding"? You play the game, win, and get rewarded with gold, how much easier you want it to be? Being able to get cards just by scratching your balls? Not gonna happen.
The grinding aspect would be compared to this: Imagine you are playing super mario. But you only get the first 5 levels. To unlock the rest you have to beat a lot of small missions or repeat the levels you already did, over and over. My point being, you just wanna play the rest of the levels and explore the game.
Their F2P model also attracts tons of people from third world countries with dialup that lag the hell out of servers and ruin the game experience for everyone. You're lucky to get a team with another person who even speaks English.
You said you didnt play dota 2 for 3 years so how do you know? I play it pretty often on EU West and have no problems with lagg. Only small problem is a lot of russian players who dont speak English, but it is really not a big thing.
Yes and i understand that, but u cant want to change the entire business/game model just cause u dont like to spend money or grind. Everyone has the same options and if u dont like them, move on to some other game, that will be more fun for u. I understand what r u saying, but there is rly not any point in actually saying it, since nothing will change nor would it be rly fair to the most players.
I am under no illusion that blizzard will change this Cash cow business model that I myself also is contributing to. All of this came about, because I replied to OP that yes, I do think most players will need to pay a lot of Money to enjoy this game. Nothing about whether HS is fun or if I enjoy it or not.

That analogy is not even remotely accurate. What "level" are you being denied from playing in HS?
You don't have to beat a bunch of missions over and over in HS. You play with actual players, over and over, as often as YOU like, with no in-game restrictions. Isn't that the whole point?
You want to explore the game in what sense? BRM? Buy the adventure with gold or money, BAM! You got it, explore all you want. Want to explore playing with Ysera? Buy packs and hope to get her because that's how EVERYONE get cards, no shortcuts, no buts. That's how CCGs work.
Stop asking the fine dining restaurant to sell u truffles for 2 dollars.

If you don't think that playing HS has an aspect of grinding, where you play just to get your wins, and less to have fun, because the meta doesn't allow you to win with your own custom deck, then I rest my case. I don't know what godly skills you have, but when I log on and my quest is "win X games with hunter" then I prepare my hunterface deck and get started. It's not fun, at least for me. The fun part of HS for me is Arena and making your own custom deck to try them out on the ladder. However, for this you need gold and for gold u need to grind, it's very simple.
I have only payed for 3 naxx wings and BRM. I did that because I knew what I would get. I have not regretted it.
I don't want to pay for packs but I don't mind doing arena and getting cards for that. In fact I enjoy that a lot even though I am not terrible good at it.
I am not sure how a test deck option could be implemented without it just being a sandbox for people unwilling to spend gold or money on the game.
Maybe a payed option for X gold that lets you play any 30 cards you want for Y amount of games either in its own sandbox or within casual.
The F2P vs. P2W aspect I don't really find relevant for the title at least.
