I respect aggro decks just as much as any midrange/tempo/control deck ingame.. yea they might be bit more straightforward and boring to watch sometimes (esp the facehunter) but stuff like zoolock and mechmage are totally acceptable decks in my eyes..also these decks are healthy for the game becouse if they don't exist the meta will go so hard into control and fatigue wars that it aint even funny to think of it.. i myself played both deck (not as much) for a bit and i really liked the mechmage playstyle.. it was something different and it can be both aggro or midrange deck (mostly the midrange variant is better becouse mechmage tends to run out of steam and if u run out of steam as aggro u pretty much lose the game) so what's up with mechmage hatred? Why people call it cancer? why they hate losing to it? why they put it on par with hunter ? 1st - it isnt as aggressive as hunter .. Mechmage wants more board control and runs out of steam regularly, where hunter finishes you off before running out of steam thanks to stuff like webspinners.madscientist and his heropower 2nd - the deck isnt braindead at all.. so many people call it braindead an what not but using spare parts properly at the right moment pretty much is the difference between win and lose.. people say it is as easy to pilot it as hunter. which just doesnt match the reality at all.. i wanna point out a recent mechamge game from last night where the beloved trump (his value plays are nonexistant 50% of the time and the other 50% of the time he misses lethal or mess up his curve so bad he loses the game) so do you know what happened? trump failed to pilot the mechmage deck properly and lost the final most important game.. he had the game in his hands and he lost it.. now let's be honest.. i don't say trump is super bad or something - he just showed that he is inconsistent, he does stupid mistake for no reason and finally but not least important you can throw away the game as mechmage becouse of 1 mistake where that is never the case if u play hunter) .. i just wanted to know ur opinion on the matter, guys..
one game is a pretty small sample to define the power of a deck.
I feel differently than you, i love playing mech mage, but that's mostly because i feel the decks plays itself and gives me gold fast (well i have fun with it as well).
the vid is there to show how a famous streamer who is supposedly good at this game fails to play "braindead" deck like mechmage.. also aggro mechmage and midrange mechmage work pretty different.. where u just unload everything as aggro and pray for nor RNG the midrange variant really works slower but more solid.. also the aggro version of mechmage tends to be non-consistent and too weak vs some matchups thus i dont even consider it one of the good aggro decks.. zoo is far better
Some people can't deal with losing being part of the game. They seek an explanation for their loss. These 'explanations' tend to foment around certain themes. The general rule is that an alternate explanation to 'I blew it' is always preferable, no matter how unlikely or far-fetched.

Xd am i the only one thinking "WHY OH WHY ISNT MAGE NERFED A BIT" I am just saying but they should nerf something cuz its really anoying to play against cuz its always the same and the ladder is really really really getting overwhellmed by them. like if you think thesame.

this aint facebook bro also i just realized what ignites the Mage hatred even more.. not only it was pretty much only arena class pre-gvg and the only realy decent archeotype was Freeze mage which suffered hard becouse of warriors, but with GVG the class made a comeback with more than 1 deck.. all the grinder, mech, fatigue mages were never a thing pre-gvg.. they are totally new decks doing really good atm. and i guess people just cant handle them good enough (lack of expirience facing such decks) .. still i think mage deserves to be played.. the class deserves to have more archeotypes and playstyles in constructed

That is not the case at all. People don't hate fatigue mage, giants mage, freeze mage. Because those decks are not facerush decks. Mech mage is a face rush deck. People hate facerush decks. It's also relatively easier than other decks. So, people feel being cheated.

I don't hate facedeck. They are easy to beat. Taunt them up all the way. When I hear, Shield Up or My Shield for Argus... it is just too great.

A full on heavy control/fatigue meta is SO much better than a thoughtless agro one.
Mechmage is just another variation of Zoo. It's brainless, and extremely unhealthy for the game. Hearthstone decks and starting hands aren't big enough to appropriately foster a healthy agro playstyle where games aren't decided within the first 2-3 turns (which should literally almost never be the case in Hearthstone, but it is far too often).

MechMage is not a variant of Zoo. Zoo rely on playing a bunch of mana-efficient minions where MechMage is all about Mech Synergy / Spare Parts Antonidas as a finisher. And aggro is healthy to the metagame. Because aggro is only a term to name the faster the decks. If aggro was not Hunter, Zoo and MechMage... then it would be Fast Druid or something else.
It's a common mistake in many card games to believe that the aggro archetype is unhealthy when it's the main reason that brought people to enjoy this game. The fact that you could build a competitive deck without paying too much in term of card investment.

Nope. The entire point of zoo is to play efficient minions to trade off your opponents stuff efficiently and attack their face. Eventually you drop a doomguard and/or soulfire for some burst and win (like antonidas). Mech synergy and zoos synergy accomplish the same things and are going after the same goals. Trade efficiently and keep stuff on the board to always be doing some face damage.
Why is this unhealthy for Hearthstone? Because literally the only skill in this game is the decision making which lacks extremely in decks of this style. You don't have to study your opponents hands and decks like late game control decks do, so there's another bit of depth completely lost. Often your choices as mechmage or zoo don't exceed two options whereas control decks face far more difficult decisions throughout a long healthy game.
People will always hate on aggressive decks because they are so frustrating to face because they can make you feel so helpless so easily if you don't have the right cards to deal with it. Control decks can make you feel helpless as well, but because they do it over a much longer period, it's not as noticeable.

Lacks ? I do not agree you with you with the fact that those decks lacks decision making. Most of the decision making is made in the mulligan... you probably just not realize it. Control Decks are meant to have more options then aggro decks... it's normal...
Aggro rush damage to the face while Control tend to take control of the board. There is decision making in both archetype.

People here hate everything, but we all know are really just salty they lose so much.
Hunter?
"Zomg no skill hit face noobs"
Mechmage?
"Zomg no skill mechwarper noobs"
Zoo?
"Zomg so cancer no skill"
Control Warrior?
"Zomg wasting my time so cancer"
Seriously, just play whatever you want. The true cancer are the whiners.

-They are easy to play
-They rely on good early draws
-They are a very face oriented deck overall
-They are everywhere
-They Fireball, frostbolt your face, it's almost as bad as kill command.
-They are overall, a very all-in kind of rush deck that goes out of steam very fast.
What's not to hate really?
Druid "Zomg No skill Full healht otk with no board"
Priest "Zomg No Skill steals my cards"
Paladin "Zomg No Skill, Mustard"
Paladin (again) "Zomg No Skill Equality+concecration full board wipe"
Freeze mage
"Zomg no skill circlejerking noobs whom iceblock wins games they should lose"
Rogue "wait a minute, there's a class called rogue?
ZOMG!! BUFFROGUE!"
I felt you needed more examples of people whining.
