I've started playing Standard Ranked again after several months of just playing on Wild and Twist instead and I'm seeing more bots than I ever have before. Like an insane number of bots.
My question is how come bots specifically never show up on my recent players list, and are therefore impossible to report?
Those are Blizzard ran bots, which only appear at low internal MMRs. They're there because the game doesn't have enough players at these ranks to get you a match in a reasonable amount of time (before their addition, I've seen 5+ minute queues)
They don't show up in the "Recent players" list because they're not real players or Battlenet accounts. Similarly, you can't report them because, well, they're officially ran by the developers.
I have also encountered bots again, but they were definitely not Blizzard bots. For starters, they had names written in Cyrillic. Blizzard recently said that they upped their game at detecting and removing bots, but it looks like the script kiddies got creative again.
To be honest though, considering how obnoxious actual players usually are, I don't mind seeing bots from time to time.
If they don't show up in recently played they are blizzard bots. If they do, then they are bots. I'm not sure ive seen any on standard, but wild is full of even shaman bots. Maybe pirate rogue too, but hard to tell since they just go face all game anyways.
It depends on how much you've played the class you're using as well. I have DK on a relatively low level and while playing casual, unironically 18 out of 20 decks I matched up against were the exact same bot deck just with different classes but as soon as I switched to Druid, one of my most played classes, I started getting normal matchups again and no bots

bro, u have no idea what u are talkin about; there are nearly no blizzard bots, stop praising that lame mmr argument (its not real), they are actual accounts, same in overwatch u freak!!!
blizzard banned 60k accounts, and there are still thousands of bot accounts around.
For the last 2 years I've only been climbing to legend in wild so my standard mmr was shit. Then I started doing the expansion achievements in standard which meant I lost more than I won and tanked my mmr even lower.
Once you reach that bottom all you face are invisible players that don't appear in your recent list because they are those blizzard bots.

Apprentice (new player ranks) and low internal-rating players (colloquially called “MMR”) may now face up against AI opponents when playing on the ranked Standard ladder. This will help said players have a more fun experience while learning the game. Experienced players will not face these AI opponents, and they will have no impact on MMR, leaderboards, or legend ranks. Most players advance beyond the affected MMR range upon leaving Silver or Gold ranks.

its clear that the blizzard bots are on that level 50 new player bullshit up to bronze, but guess whos not on that rank: the real bots. and as i said, its a small amount compared to actual bot accounts. these bot accounts are so annoying, they even define the meta in some modes.

Okay should I be facing them on Silver rank with a 74% winrate? Three days after a new expansion release?

This might be the reason. Thanks

No YOU have no idea what you're talking about.

It's not a conspiracy theory my dude.
especially in wild
Don't believe me? Take it from Blizzard themselves. Specifically, the "Early Progression and Milestone Offer Updates" section.
