Hearthpwn bugged maybe. It didn't posted my second response. I clicked and taelon WAS your highest cost card. Grabbing a 4 cost mana minion with taelon is just dumb.

You have to scroll on the deck list. He has double skull, blackthorn and alex. Those are all midrange cards though and aren't hitting much on turn 7 besides some deck thinning. Alex doesnt belong, inquisitor is much better as it can clear a taunt AND go face the same turn, plus you can run 2 of them.

Tbh, this just looks like midrange DR demon hunter with worse cards and not a super aggressive deck at all.

Oh My Yogg! requires so much skill to play. My board is 6 minions, odd paladin opponent has a 2/1. I play a secret to trigger a 1 cost so I can play my kings safely Plague of Flames. I proceed to lose the game 4 turns later after being demoted every time he plays a card after that..

And just ignore that every single otk mage has combo by turn 8.

Gotta love the druid who had 6 minions on turn 1 followed by aoe buffs on turn 2 and 4.

Or that big brain big minion big skill priest doesnt get punished at all by either of my bad luck albatross or the tokens I put into his pool with an early leeroy to try and dilute his ressurects. At least I beat most of the secret mages today..

STTIIILLLLL waiting for nerfs to hysteria and refreshing skill water...

Not sure where you're seeing this. All I'm facing is deck of lunacy mages since the nerf was never enough. They needed to hit RSW as well.

I'm having pretty good success with budget warlock on my f2p account. Got the free warlock deck so the 2 cost legendary and opened a rustwix. Pretty much rest of the deck is core, common and rare. Still missing a few cards that u think would help, but crushing a lot of meta decks right now. Running the 6, 7 and 8 mana taunts and jaraxus with flesh golems (got those for free too) and a few control tools. I doubt it will get too high in rank (the soul shard legendary would be a huge boost probably), but I dont see too many bad matchups for it. Has a decent amount of early game removal/aoe and watchtowers to try to stall things out until turn 6, and a lot of big mid game threats/taunts into jaraxus.

I'm still trying to find ways to improve it with my budget, but I spent about 1.5k dust to build a wild paladin deck for easy legend and all those rewards.

The new Death and Taxes Paladin may be annoying, but I don't mind seeing it more if that means less Big Priest.

Enjoy your time Darksider.  We Res Priests are patient and our time will come again.   *twiddles evil moustache*  #mwuhaha

Maybe will never go back, maybe come back next expansion then in the end of the year they screw priest again after monetize enough of both expansions. Priest ress meta or combo or whatever broken shit they invent (they think broken shit is priest identity, ok) will never stick standard anymore due several reasons but the mostly important is money.
When a player keep playing against an annoying deck many times in a row and many players keep facing mirror matches this makes them lose money, due many players stop buying stuff, they suffered that untill rastakan rotation (frozen trone before) to rise of shadows and so on... they realized that with less annoying decks around and more different variety of decks around they keep the players playing their game.
I Hope never come back, they can turn priest into another Pally Aggro 3.0 - there tons of spells and options to viabilize the class to an aggro or tempo level. Even Egg metas again are fun, but the other priest meta are horrible to play with it and play against it, too much time, too much effort wasted.

Yup. Priest has a lot of cool tempo minions, but not quite enough tools to keep up with kingsbane rogue, pirate warrior or secret paladin. And with all secret paladins running Nerub'ar Weblord they have run pirate warrior and secret mage out of the meta. Reno priest isnt really playable either and big priest has enough stall tools until they Shadow Essence on 4 or 5 that they can still beat paladin if they draw well. Loatheb on curve basically wins that game, and can beat otk mages as well, but isnt really needed. My alt f2p account is climbing pretty efficiently with just Sunkeeper Tarim and Call to Arms and my only expensive cards. Even he isnt that necessary. The new rank spell or Blessing of Might might be more impactful by letting you push significant damage early on Crabrider

I think my main issue with thalnos is he’s been power crept out of legendary status.

Ive always compared him to loot hoarder, and when that’s done he looks even worse. You have a legendary, which is limit 1 per deck of course, that’s only upside on a common is +1 spell damage. What’s crazier is it actually is worse in some instances, having 1 less attack. I get that spell Dam is better than the attack, but again were comparing a legendary to a common.

The thing is, when playing Thalnos you have the flexibility to choose wether you want the card draw or the spell damage more. I don't think there's any other card that can heal you almost full when used in combination with Spirit Lash AND still draws you a card afterwards for only 2 mana.

Yeah, he is pretty powerful in the right decks. He is fantastic in old school miracle rogue but I dont think he makes any modern lists because of cards like swindle and secret passage, but at least in wild miracle is too slow anyways.

The most common deck I see him in now is Reno priest for removal spells and they just need as much card draw as possible.

posted a message on What was the 1st deck you got Legendary with and the the most recent?

I never bothered with more than rank 5 in the past. Just came back from over a yearlong break and decided to make the climb for the extra rewards.

Secret mage was really easy to make it with. The only consistently hard match was other secret mages, but most of them were idiots and would play counterspell when I had coin almost every single time. Insane that a 2280 dust deck climbed to legend with a 60-70% winrate.

The most efficient mods to win gold and cheap packs are still arena (and Duels, same reward system), if you average 4-6+ wins by run.
A little time consumming, but hey.. can't get everything. Otherwise you use this time to get real money and buy packs lol.

Arena should be more fair if u miss many cards. Otherwise with a good collection, Duel mod can be fun and rewarding.

My standard collection is a little lacking so arena is probably best. I kinda despise arena because it's impossible to play around what your opponent may have, but I got 2 free passes so might as well get back into it. Is overwolf still the best tool for arena card value?

just dont play big priest and youre good. im not sure how good priest might be overall because of secret mage, though if you draw well and play around counterspell you are probably fine most of the time.

i used to play a lot of highlander priest that was minion based. it was a lot of fun, though not necessarily very good. spiteful priest was a blast too, but i think the meta might be too fast for it, though if you care more about fun than winning , by all means go for it. if the game looks like a bust by turn 5, just concede and move on to the next.

Yeah, I see your point. However, didn't we receive those freebies even before the new system?

Plus it's honestly almost impossible to keep up with HS in terms of cards, since there are 3 yearly expansions, including mini-sets, amounting to around 510 cards. I've been playing this game since it's release and I've probably not played it for only 2-3 months during this period. Yet I'm still faraway from collecting all the cards. I'm f2p only btw.

It's just not that much of an improvement when each class now has 2 legendaries per expansion and with demon hunter it will be even harder from now on. If you wish to play with all the classes.

     >collecting all cards

    >f2p only

Lmfao why would you expect to be able to have a full collection as f2p

F2P you can play the game and make a decent few decks that are competitive. Why would they make it so anyone could get a full collection as F2P? There would be no incentive to spend then and the game would run out of money.

If you want to have a viable deck with every class then you're gonna have to spend money. That's how games work.  The company has to make money in order to actually develop content, and they're not gonna make enough off just hero skins and tavern pass.

With the old reward system I could keep up pretty well as f2p. Would usually aave up about 5k gold for launch then with the 80-150g I would earn per day I would dump into arena for a few months. I wasnt good enough at it to go infinite, but even with 3 wins you would make a profit over just buying packs whenever you had 100g.

I  just started playing again so I only have level 12 rewards track, which has been nice, but most of it came from a full page of quests as the main source of exp/reward. I can win 30 games and still not get a level whereas before I would have won 100g, which hurts f2p players who are really reliant on grinding out a bunch of wins to build their collections.

I don't play the deck so I can't tell you for sure, but I think that the skybarges help control the board enough that you don't need a giant burst from berserkers.

i can definitely see that helping against secret mage, odd paladin and token druid. not sure if it helps against big priest, reno priest and warlock, but frothing doesnt usually do anything in those matchups anyways because they have so much removal.

a big thanks for the advice, I think some of them will really come in handy.

current lists also run Nitroboost PoisonSharkfin FanSkybarge, Cutting Class. No arcanite reapers, frothing berserkers, or korkron elites. The lists I looked at don’t run wrenchxaliber so that’s more of a tech, not sure what the change would be, but could probably find a list if you search the site

swapped the Arcanite Reaper for Ancharrr. surprised about the lack of Frothing Berserker, that seems to be my best card against odd paladin, pirate rogue/warrior and token druid. if I can protect it for 2 turns and it gets to face I usually just win.

Not sure about Sharkfin Fan, but the others seem pretty useful. I'll see about putting them in, but I think Frothing Berserker is just too good. it also makes Hellfire a lot weaker in my experience so far. my problem with warlock is once you get to turn 7 they just play multiple waves of taunt if they dont have a turn 5 Voidlord preceded by Defile and Dark Skies.

One day d5 with zero bonus stars?  My god how many hours?

i got quite a few bonus stars from bronze 10 where i started, often jumping 2-3 ranks per win. i wont lie, i played like 10 hours or so total, but once i switched from miracle rogue and midrange warrior to pirate warrior most games only lasted 3-5 minutes anyways so climbing was quick even when i would get blown out sometimes. if priest and warlock cleared my board multiple times by turn 4 i would just concede and move on to the next. secret mage was usually decided by turn 6. surprisingly the games against odd paladin, odd rogue and token druid were usually the longest because those are entirely about board control and could go 10 turns. i ran into a lot of people who went face only, lost the board around turn 5 and could never come back though.

    Hi friend,

Discolock (Zoo), Darkglare Warlock (Painlock) and Pirate Warrior are all viable aggro options in the Wild Metagame at the moment. You need Wrenchcalibur for Pirate Warrior though, as the bombs help shut off Reno decks and reshuffle decks set up by Lorekeeper Polkelt.

i hadnt considered Wrenchcalibur seriously before, but that is a smart idea. only weapon im running is Arcanite Reaper, worth swapping out or adding it in place of something else?

You should run wrenchcaliber as well as Ancharrr. Pirate warrior hasn’t run arcanite reapers in a while.

dont currently have Ancharrr, but ill look into crafting it.

this is what im running because im lacking so many newer card.

    what else should be replaced?

Just came back after a about a year long break. I was able to get to diamond 5 in about a day, but would love to try and climb to legend and am stuck in the rank 3-4 range. I'm about 3 expansions behind in cards, and my god, everything is so much faster now. The majority of my games seem to be against Renolock, Razakus, Big Priest and a billion secret mages. Are either Zoolock or Pirate Warrior more effective for climbing? Would love to get Legend for the first time, and that juicy extra pack for rewards. I would say I have about 30% winrate vs mage and 40% against priest with pirate warrior, havent tried out zoo yet, but fear I might be missing a few too many cards.
