No, because the hunter class is defined by aggression. Whether it comes in the form of midrange or pure aggro, that's a different story. But it wouldn't make much sense as a control class with that hero power. It does have an OTK deck if you're into that.

But if it wasn't the point, why did they remove basically every face card from this year's core set?

Face Hunter is very strong with the cards in the current meta, so if they would have included a lot of the face cards in the core set as well, Face Hunter would have been just too ridiculous I think.

Because the class clearly doesn't need aggressive cards in its Core set. The expansion cards are doing a fine job of helping Hunter go face.

I really like what they've done with hunter. Same identity, but a little bit more interactive and minion-based, and more room to make face-based cards in the future without breaking the game.

It's still as much "me go face, smorc, me smart, face is the place" as before. Maybe a tad bit slower.

I think it is less face and more board centric now.
Though the hero power is allways a face tool and Rhino is insane if you cant properly prepare for it.
It plays more like zoo now, go wide, go face. With the difference that zoo has no face heropower.
Direct face damage from spells is 10 now with 4 cards. Compared to the old face this is bad.
