Basic cards and their Golden versions will be granted to all players that have Wild unlocked for free at rotation.
This, this is very interesting. Now on first read sounds simple and straightforward enough but given that it seems to imply everyone will get all Golden Basic cards regardless of if they put in the effort to grind out their heroes to max level it is best to be sure. Plus you can interpret it to mean that we will get cards we've already unlocked "for free" rather than getting all possible Basic cards, normal and Golden "for free."
The dust potential in dusting all these superfluous Goldens needs not be elaborated on much, so it is very important to know if we need to grind hero levels to get more. I don't use twitter and maybe there is a better way than that to get the attention to the devs and get this clarified. Plus some of the staff may be on friendly terms with them so they can answer it quickly too. Plus^2 maybe it was already answered somewhere.
Everyone will be granted the golden basic cards at rotation because they will remain uncraftable. As such, you won't be able to disenchant any golden basic cards you already have.
Upon rotation everybody will receive the normal core set cards for free. By leveling up your classes you will now gain (temporary) golden versions of these core cards instead of the old basic cards. If you have all classes at level 60 upon rotation, you will have two copies of all core cards(normal and golden). You can't disenchant these golden core cards.
What happens to cards currently in the basic set that rotate out? For example getting Hunter to levels 49 and 50 gives you 2 golden copies of Kill Command. Will this reward remain? Or should we rush every class to level 60 now?

You are mistaken, on both accounts.
You can disenchant these cards if you want.
Written after a point reference both Basic and Classic cards. Furthermore it was said Golden versions of cards will be rewarded not for levels but for achievements like the class achievements we have for Madness I am guessing.

No, basic cards will remain uncraftable and free for all players. They're not giving out 14000 in free dust to everyone.
@RMD01 and now that you provide sauce I agree ;) It sucks that they are being so cheap though it is not THAT much dust and only for old players and those who play all classes to boot. A worthwhile reward, and ofc the flipside is you lose those fancy Goldens for the dust which some might not want to do.
Anyway guess I might still level a bit to get a few specific Golden Basics for my collection in case they are not available again after the change. Thanks for the reply this settles the question.

Either way hope things will be clearer soon.
