The Fact that GvG was delayed two hours and the fact that now the servers are down and We cant play hearthstone now is very annoying. Blizzard should of known there would be a large amount of players coming in.
I expected this to happen just like it did with the release of Naxx. I find it weird how some people are locked out of the game (Myself, Raynad etc.) But others are not. I can just Skype people and they can tell me about the amazing rare 'GvG first day Meta'.
Man this forum is full of babies and drama queens.
How dare Blizzard screw up MY patch.
I know right, how dare they have techincal difficulties for a free game!Monsters.
My issue isn't so much with not being able to play Hearthstone. I understand the troubles with big releases like this. But, I can't play any Blizzard games. I play WoW, and tried out Heroes of the Storm for the first time last night, but I can't connect to anything :\

"Free Game", and free or not you should hold yourself to a standard higher then a common indie developer. Which is not at all accurate because i've seen indie games patch flawlessly. Blizzard has been in the multiplayer game business for over 10 years. They have had time to know what to expect on a big patch day. To defend their lazy preparation only shows your mindless devotion to a company that doesn't actually care about you as a player but only cares about how much money you can/will throw their way.
But keep jumping through your hoops. They don't mind pilfering your pockets as you do.
Let's see...I'm no Blizzard historian, but since the implementation of Battle.net, Blizzard has released Diablo 2 and 1 expansion, Starcraft and 1 expansion, Diablo 3 and 1 expansion, Starcraft 2 and 1 expansion, World of Warcraft and 5 expansions, and Hearthstone and 2 expansions, and they STILL CAN'T GET DAY ONE RIGHT!
Blizzard knows exactly what to expect on days like this one. It's just not worth it to maintain servers that are able to handle those ridiculous peaks. Once the launch hype died down everything will be back to normal - without Blizzard spending a dime on better servers.
Remember how they handled the majority of failed/stuck Naxx transactions? Blizzard waited three days until all those transactions timed out on their own.
From a business perspective they are doing the most reasonable thing. Yes, they 'screw over' their costumers to a certain extend but burning money on servers that only work at full capacity during a few days a year just isn't something that you do. The wait isn't gonna kill you either.
Im sorry you have low Expectations. But considering Blizzard is a company and their business is making content for games. I think they should get it right the first time and not have their customers (us) have to wait. I can bet some of the bosses at Blizzard arent please that hearthstone is down cause that is costing them money because people want to buy packs to get GvG cards so stfu cause its pretty ironic a troll on the forums of a game is saying we have nothing better to do lol.

Actually the "Bosses" at blizzard don't care. They know even if it's down for another 3 days people are still going to throw money at them for GvG packs. They will sleep like babies tonight. You or us as customers don't mean a whole lot to them. They have a product they know you want and doesn't matter how badly they treat the customers, like crack addicts they know you'll still come back to them. IT will take a life changing experience for you to turn your nose up at them and slap their hands of advances towards your wallet away. They know this and it's sad that they exploit it. But hey, it's a business.
The problem here isn't the fact that we don't get to play any of the Blizzard games, it's the fact that they keep announcing every hour that the issues will be fixed. Instead of giving false hopes they should just not estimate a scheduled time and just go on with the fix so people don't stare at the computer screen all day in hopes of playing their games.

They should just say "We are working on this and will update you when it is fixed" Plain and simple. I check back every hour or so with no real hope that it will be fixed. But sad or not I know people who took off work today. I warned them against it knowing blizzards "big patch" day records being FAR less then stellar. But I mean again I say after 10+ years doing these big patches you'd think they'd know what to expect and prepare for it a bit better.
Sad they seem to hire sub-par coders that half ass things and then when it's implemented to live it wrecks EVERYTHING. That's what sloppy code will do to an already existing structure. If it's not checked before plugged in the code will break something seemingly unrelated (in this case all of battle.net). Doesn't take much to quadruple check the code send it around to a couple different people. Clean it up. Because launching it as is and thinking "We'll weed the bugs out as the come to us". Is just sloppy.
I would have rather waited another 3 weeks for release then get this pile of manure today. They really need to get it together. As it's been stated they are a billion dollar company, they have the resources and man power but seem to prefer to do things the cheap way and cut as many corners as possible.
Any company, not just Game Studios will never substantially upgrade server architecture for impending load. They write it off as acceptable loss, because it beats wasting money on server upgrades they'll probably only need for a week. At best, they just try to upgrade in tandem with the load as it comes in. Is either option sufficient for us? God no. For them? You bet'cha.

It's all about that bottom line!

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
Servers more underpowered than Paladins. Blizzard please buff.
Yup, just hanging around now and feel like an idiot. Could be out with friends. I thought this time would be different.. I am honestly not surprised.

It's as if you guys have nothing better to do than to sit in front of a computer playing games. I'm sure the toilet needs cleaning.

You really are an idiot aren't you? So what if we wan't the servers to come up since we are locked out. Get over yourself you feeb.

A free game that made them 114 million dollars in 6 months or so.
Billion dollar companies don't make "free" games, otherwise they wouldn't be billion dollar companies.
