You obviously want to try for your giants and drakes, so you can play them on turn 4. That's first and foremost. Against aggro having your AoE in hand is never a bad thing, or some of your taunt givers. The earlier you play giants though the better. Your life total doesn't matter unless it's zero.
Great thread, props on the work. Definitely agree with you, but I think the lack of deck diversity is due to the young life of the game. Hopefully as time goes on this will change, but I don't think it will ever reach great heights. Hearthstone is like an Arcade version of a CCG. It's the Streetfighter of deck builders.
It definitely is annoying, but there are decks out there with a pretty decent win percentage against them. The drawback of course is you may struggle in other matchups. However if the majority of what you're facing are MechMage/Facetard/SenX then you should have a high enough win percentage to climb.
Priest is absolutely viable and playable, it just isn't favored. Fast decks are favored as you mentioned, and I'm not sure Priest could, or should have fast decks that wouldn't throw away half their class cards. If you're going to that length, you're better off playing a class that does it better. There's some Mech variations on Priest that are a little quicker that aren't so combo reliant also.
I agree, last month I finished 8 (ok, not a great success) but the funny thing was that my Priest deck was designed with an specific goal, Humilliate, Destroy and show MechMages how disgusting that Playing style looks to me.
It worked pretty well against aggro, zoos and big minions based decks (like the Giant's Warlock) and surprise, mirror match were more easy that expected.
Still not too good to become legend, but obviously I'll try to improve it (if there's room for that, I'm not sure if feasible)
I mainly relay in these cards: Wild Pyromancer+all the cheap spells (words and circle), Doomsayer, take control staff (Cabal S.P., Mind Control, etc) and AoE
My first idea was trying to make it without minions (obvioulsy, not possible) but you will find out that you don't really need too many minios if you focus your mechanic on playing your opponent cards and clearing the table.
Priest can do this better than any other and its healing capabilities makes a balanced Priest Deck a nightmare if you don't beat it before turn 8-9.
Haha, I've been running a very similar deck, specifically built to counter MechMage and other Aggro. It's definitely fun, and the amount of BM received can be staggering at times.
Could be a form of DoT (Damage over time) minions, with all the fire and burning. The question would be, at the end of each turn, enemy turn, or your turn? And like with GvG, some previous minions may be changed to receive the mechanic, like Fire Elemental.
Adding a previously unsupported minion type isn't in the same league as adding new effects onto existing cards. I can only see them editing old cards if the new mechanic keywords something the old cards already did or were very close to doing.
So a Fire Elemental performing DoT damage akin to Frost Elemental freezing wouldn't make any sense?

You have all game to prepare for the combo, cycled through most of your deck, and if you don't have an answer then it's rightfully GG in my opinion. I don't play Druid at all by the way.

Two hours on average. A little surprised to see so many play 4-6. I try not to be disheartened, but I'm not sure it's possible to hit Legend playing only two hours a day.
Loved Handlock since the moment I crafted it. As a deck, it's beautiful. It "breaks" the rules and establishes its own cohesion, which I think makes it relevant in just about any kind of meta. Every deck has unfavorable matchups, but Handlock is always able to win by its very nature. I think it's why a lot of people don't like it, and those who play it, love it.
Board full of minions on both sides, each of us under 10 HP. I empty my hand with two Shadowboxer's, then Circle of Healing for the hell of it. He was at 7-8 HP, and the boxer's completely ignored his minions and went all to his face. After seeing the first three go to his face I was astounded. Seeing them all go ... I felt like I cheated somehow.
Irony is, he messaged me afterward to see if I recorded it, but alas. He wanted me to send it in to some youtube channel if I had it.

OP, what do you do for a living and why is it mafia related?
Edit: Thanks for the numbers.

Looks like Xixo was first to reach legend (Surprised?), and mainly used a demon deck like this one. Could be more viable this season?

Clicked Priest and was astonishingly surprised. Time to bring Anduwear back?
