Just want to know what you guys think about cards like evocation.
I know that cards that discover others and cards that give you random cards are hated by a lot of people but im okey with them, i like them.
But i like those that are controlled, obviusly you can discover with them the exact card you needed with gods RNG but theres no so much chances. Just like the priest 1 mana spell that recovers 3 health, the card its strong but okey(dont start saying im a priest player cause i prefer leaving this game rather than playing priest).
And then you have cards like evocation and the mana ciclone, that they have no sense. What were they thinking about when they printed those cards? Theres no sense that a mage with the aprendice plays in turn 4 evocation for 0 mana, a bunch of random spells and with the mana cyclone they generate like 5-6 or even more random ones, it really makes the game against them unfair, and not only if the play it early, in late you just dont even need de aprendice.
I just discovered how to post and i wanted to share this with the community.
I would like them to further explore the concept behind Animal Companion: randomness but with a smaller pool, so you know what to expect and feels less unfair.

GG to all.
I am okay with all the cards, the highroll does not lean always in your favor... just imagine getting full hand of 5+ mana spells...

I think, more than any particular card, the fact that Mage is completely RNG based is nutty. Evocation, The Amazing Reno, Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron, Kalecgos, Power of Creation, Solarian Prime, Jandice Barov, Conjurer's Calling, Azure Explorer, Messenger Raven, Mana Cyclone, Devolving Missiles, Magic Trick, etc. Basically, half of a Highlander Mage deck consists of RNG cards.
RNG is supposed to make Hearthstone fun. At least that was the plan.
Take a walk on the wild side...
I love RNG. I think it is fun. But I think it can be overdone, and RNG is a core part of Mage's identity right now. It's a little much.

I honestly don't like how they made RNG the class identity of mage.
