I always try to play Control Paladin even if it doesn't work. I agree with you the game is very stale and forces you to play aggro if you want to get anywhere.
I don't think so. Properly adjusted Res, Big Druid and Gala Warlock have good winrates against aggro. True that DH still has tempo advantage but this may change with next balance adjustments. In wild I have very good winrate with Taunt Warrior against fast decks but lose to some Res and OTK Mage and Mechathun decks. You can't win against everyone but you can have better than 55% winrate with properly tech'ed control decks.
You do realize one of the top 2 decks right now is Res Priest - 100% control deck, whose games last for half of an hour?
You do realize Galakrodn Warlock is controlish too?
You do realize another very popular and stron class is Druid - once again, greedy, slow deck?
You do realize Rouge isn't a top deck?
What kind of a reply is this, OP is 150% right the meta is all aggressive, 0 fun in that. We want the good old days with death nights taking games until fatigue, actually thinking about your plays.

Play Rez priest. Even though control decks don't think about their plays either. They just use removal and utilize straight forward value generation.

This was an accurate reply. True that meta is aggressive but you can adapt to that, right? Problem with most of playerbase is that they got stuck with their mindsets and don't adapt to meta changes efficiently. Big Druid and Gala Warlock take games until fatigue, that's why they include new Dragonqueen Alex while not being highlander. This makes sense, right? Apart from that there is a LOT OF FUN playing control decks and wiping those so called 'brainless' aggro decks. L2P I guess.
EDIT: this should be merged with salt thread
EDIT2: actually there's been not much aggro since hitting Diamond 5, most people play slower decks there
That is not true. The fact T1 decks aren't control does not mean are inviable. I hit legend this season with a higlander dragon control shaman, and i am not a control player, and never hit legend before playing shaman. Galakrond Warlock is a control deck and is the strongest deck after DH...
Control is fine if you know how to make a control deck. HSReplay too much? Currently I'm testing Control DH and it's going well so far above Diamond 5. May as well hit Legend with it.
My advice, unstuck your sentiments from 2015 and adapt to what is going on at rank you play. Aggro is giving me least trouble so OP's arguments are as invalid as a kid in a wheelchair. If you can't manage face decks then you are a really bad player.

Please, your Control Demon Hunter is only a thing because some cards from DH are really busted.

So? You complain about Aggro, you complain about Control. You guys should go for a walk sometimes and stop being salty all the time. It's disgusting and your dad should bitchslap each and every one of you for being so pretentious.
So you people just choose to willingly ignore every post about warlock and Rez priest being tier 1 control decks?
No response? Nothing?
I guess they have even less IQ than average Hunter players from 2016 LOL ;)
They talk about 'thinking about plays' all the time but can't comprehend simple things like what actually makes a control archetype.
And notice how still no response. Nothing. Someone will post in about 5 minutes saying "yup control is dead" and not even acknowledge it because we are not part of their echo chamber.
Oh I know right? Somehow longer games=more brain power, even though control decks arguably take less skill than aggro.
Playing arcane intellect and freezing a board to avoid dying or stacking armor and casting brawl to avoid dying is not a skill based thing at all lol. Control decks take more skill when played against other control decks, like resource management for the long game. But against aggro, the control deck is easier to play than the aggro deck because they don't have to worry about managing resources like in fatigue matchups.
How are priest and druid dead? Especially res priest tier 1?
And galakrond lock. But they'll ignore your response because it doesn't cater to their ideals.
It's not a secret that a vast majority of HS players visible on HPWN are socially inept teenagers or just dumb, entitled kids. Smart people don't whine like little bitches all the time and this forum is full of it. I'm glad that from time to time I spot self-aware person like you or other guys who can talk sense.
Top tier decks are aggro/tempo like DH and Rogue.
We control players are again in bad spot. Control Warrior is very bad, Control Shaman is meme, Control Paladin does not even exist.
Im not enjoyed playing HS i miss times when Control Warrior, Handlock and Control Paladin were powerful decks.
Instead we have ultra OP Aggro/Tempo new Class.
Do you still try play control decks?

Control will never be a thing anymore.
