Warrior without the Boom hero card can't generate enough value vs priests and can't deal with free massive boards of druid and priest ressurrection over and over and don't is fast enough anymore to play agressive Galakrond.
He can trade punchs with warlock in a fair fight but that is it.
Just played with Priest/Galakrond. Had 30 health + 5 armor and 2x khartut defender full health and reborn and 1x khartut defender with 1 healt and no reborn. Still got 30 damage face and next turn the rest 5.
IF Demon Hunter plays correctly I don't see Priest winning. The Khael'thas Sunstrider in combination with slice , Inner Demon and the 2 legendaries makes it broken. Skull of Guldan and that card draw DH has...
It's not just a matter of playing correctly. The amount of damage in the DH combo deck is finite.
If god forbid you have to let a Khartut / Convincing Infiltrator live for a turn and they start casting Grave Rune and Psyche Split, you can say goodbye to your Inner Demon face damage save for managing to drop Kayn on the same turn of the combo, which is not that easy. Not saying the matchup is in Priest's favor, but it's pretty even in my experience. It felt definitely in DH's favor pre-nerfs, but not anymore.
This of course is valid for the combo variant of DH. Tempo/aggro it's just a matter of how good your opening hand is vs how bad is Priest's.
edit: on second thought I've got 2 games in a row with combo DH vs Priest where I pulled Doomhammer from Zephyr, matchup is definitely easier in that case lol
"Grave Rune and Psyche Split!"
Actually that is what happened to me. But with Altruis they can kill all your Defenders and still build their combo. Zephyr on top, it's just too much damage over 1/2 turns. Additionally comes that in oposite to DH Priest doesn't have the possibility to draw so you need to be lucky to get your cards or good minions from resurrection.
Skull of Guldan should be an 8 cost spell imo and they need more nerf in card draw!

After further playing that matchup, I have to agree with you that Combo DH feels favored against Priest. I don't think Altruis is that key tho. Kayn and Consume Magic are.
Skull of Gul'dan is fine as it is. The card is only good in outcast, and I assure you that non-aggro DH lists don't have such an easy time activating it. With Combo DH, sometimes you can't even afford the loss of tempo (you definitely can vs Priest cause he puts no pressure on you, but not against every class). Without outcast, 6 mana for 3 cards is barely playable. Any further nerf to its mana cost will just condemn DH to be an Aggro class forever.

I beat the face hunter with quest rogue "which is not even a meta deck" by only going to his face lol.
i can say, Warlock & Rogue Galakrond (NO Highlander Version) are the worst matchups for priest.
Mage and Hunter is easy, Druids are 50/50, BigDruid easy but Kaelthas swarm shit is hard to beat, vs DH its 60/40 i would say.
Im playing Highlander Priest. My own Version, not the Netdeck Version. More Minions, liess removal, more proactive.
Why do people think Priest beats Demon Hunter?
