Was curious what everyone's hope's were with the new adventure coming out next month!
Unless I am mistaken, there are going to be 35 cards from it which is pretty crazy! I don't remember an adventure having that many cards (it's been a long while so I can't remember what Naxx, BRM, etc had)
So how many class cards do think everyone will get, 2 or 3?
My personal hope is either more support for highlander decks, hero cards for the 4 "Hero" classes and/or more dragon support for all classes.
More dragon support but most importantly just general meta shakeup. Even though meta right now is pretty ok, many people dislike it and in general same meta can get boring, no matter how fun it is. I don’t want highlander support because I really dislike Dragonqueen Alextraza. I wish they never added her and just kept the fair Zephrys the Great.
I’d like to see another invoke card for the galakrond classes, except shaman because they have a double invoke card for whatever reason. It would be neat if the hero classes got a hero card too but I’m not really optimistic about that outcome. Interestingly enough though this adventure has 35 cards where previous had 31, which is 4 more which coincidentally is the number of hero classes. At the very least I think you’ll see the heroes get 4 legendary cards.
It’s a long time ago we last had a full adventure with new cards, but since this time the adventure is on top of a regular expansion I hope it won’t cost as much gold.
back then they did adventure - expansions - adventure - expansion etc. with 4 months inbetween each, so you had 8 months to buy packs from 1 expansion - 3500 gold for the adventure, which takes about 1-2 months.
It became harder to keep up with expansions when they stopped doing adventures. Now you only had 4 months per expansions.
And now they‘re adding Adventures again inbetween expansions, which gives you 4 months -3500 gold to buy packs for the expansions. At least if they stick with the same prices. This makes it really hard to keep up with the expansions.
For reference, Naxxramas had 30 cards, Blackrock Mountain had 31, and League of Explorers & Karazhan had 45 each.
Blackrock is the closest to the 35 cards we'll be getting in the upcoming expansion. So, I would expect 2 class cards each and 13 neutral cards. Those 4 other cards I hope go to the "Explorer" classes in a way to balance out the Legendary count since the EVIL classes got Galakrond.
They could be hero cards themselves or maybe new Legendary Spells. Either way, something to level the playing field lore wise would be fun.
My Predictions -Galakrond for Paladin, Druid, Hunter and Mage -3 cards for each class -4 neutral cards *2 epic Highlander cards *2 Galakrond cards +An epic of invoke +A legendary who benefits from invoke four times
I wouldn't be surprised if each EVIL class gets another invoke. A 10-mana Legendary with like “Invoke three/four times” could be cool too. Honestly I'm just always stoked for more cards, especially with the adventure format. Hope they talk about it soon!

Ah good to know the comparison, thank you for that!

I too had a feeling about Galakrond as an option for the "Hero Classes" ... that or Dragon Aspects!
Hopefully we will get awesome news after the new years!

I imagine we’ll get an announcement once the staff is back from the holiday. I’d love hero galakrond cards for sure. But I don’t want to get my hopes up.
My Predictions -Galakrond for Paladin, Druid, Hunter and Mage
I feel they won't do Galakrond for the "good" classes based on the current theme for year of the dragon.
E.V.I.L Classes (Warrior, Priest, Warlock, Shaman, and Rogue) have the Galakrond and the invoke mechanics
While the "Good" Classes (Mage, Paladin, Hunter, and Druid) have the Highlander and side-quests mechanic.
If anything, I hope druid and paladin get good class exclusive highlander support cards. So far galakrond cards are superior to the ones the good classes got. Maybe class exclusive tech cards that punishes Galakrond decks. For example a legendary that gets buffed the more times the opponent has invoked, or minions that do more face damage if the face is Galakrond.
I like the idea of having Dragon aspects that are conditionally stronger against galakrond decks.
The power of the decks right now is too high to be changed with this new cards. So they will probably support the decks we have or maybe with the next rotation they will be more useful.
I think they should wait February at least, 35 new cards a month after an expansion doesn't make any sense. I hope instead first they nerf other broken cards, like the shaman's spell and the deathrattle rogue.

This.. Happens...
For every expansion for now on out. It's so tiresome waiting between them and running into the same 3 or 4 decks that are unfair enough to work.

What I'd really like is a golden pack for heroic, not just a card back. Dedicated to the 35 cards won't hurt.
And also... #MakeTotemsGreat(Again?)
