We are all eagerly awaiting the upcoming balance patch and I expect it to mostly be about nerfs. Though balancing is also buffing underperforming cards.
But what I would like to point to in this thread is.. it is good they act quick but how do we know they will not abandon standard after that untill next expansion? Quest shaman and quest druid was toxic for so long and doom in the tomb did not make things better except halting combo priest. We got one tiny balancing during all SoU.
I am not confident blizzard will be balancing anything for the rest of the expansion and I am worried. The things I see from Necrium Apothecary right now makes me fear we could be stuck with it all expansion long.
balancing should occur regularly so that ladder does not devolve into the hell we have had since SoU. This is even more important when the devs produce broken cards/classes without proper testing.
might just be me but I really hope this is a case where lightning strikes more than once and that they will never abandon us again as in SoU.
Maybe if they wouldn't nerf the busted things to oblivion, ti would make other decks seem competitive without the current (or previous) decks being forgotten. (I'm looking back to metas like Gatling gun Priest and Aviana Kun Druis and up to Crystal Core and Keleseth Rogue along with Recruit Demon Gul'dan Warlock) All have seen their nerfs and we saw how quickly they fell. I don't want to see a meta run by Neutral cards like Faceless Corruptor and Fungalmancer, but I feel there could be much more effort into balancing between the classes.

Agree with you there! So many useless cards could be buffed back into something good but they don't care. Still we paid the same money for those as for the busted ones.
Sorry completely lost you after that.

Every time one busted deck is nerfed into the dirt, a new busted deck takes it's place.

This space is intentionally blank.
