The issue in the past is the later expansions haven’t been strong enough to impact the meta in a meaningful way. Perhaps they’re doing this to counteract that. For now it’s healthy but it’s going to be interesting when the rotation happens because new sets have to compete with DoD

This exactly. This is no question the strongest expansion to date, I think most agree. And that can be a good thing because in a lot of expansions in the past a lot of pre expansion meta decks would go unchanged or only add 2-4 of the new cards, and that's not much fun.
However, a much higher bar has now been set. Following expansions are going to also have to be powerful to avoid what my first paragraph mentioned.
Do you guys really think this expansion tops the likes of KaC, KotFT, PBD and Un goro??? I’m not sure if I agree with that. Well maybe it’s better than un goro but not the other two year of the mammoth sets and boomsday
Frozen Throne and Kobold and Catacombs were probably more powerful on release. Creeper, Spiteful Summoner, Call to arms, Prince K, and Highlander Priest, Ultimate infestation and more were all busted. Recruit was also just incredibly powerful as a mechanic.

Yeah exactly! To add to that the warlock cards for KaC are arguably the best ever set for any class in an expansion
Yeah, i would also say DoD isnt the most powerful expansion ever. On paper some cards look super strong but playing Dragons in Druid, or a pure Pladin deck etc. those are huge restrictions.
Galakrond or Dragonqueen Alextrazsa dont provide infinite value like fe. Jade Idols from Meanstreets (combined with the imense armorgain and spreadin plaque ) or, the infinite Value generators from Frozen Throne. And we also had expansions who had way better aggro cards.
Cards in this exp seems really strong, there is not that many crap/ filler cards.
So finally good and worth to buy expansion?
Im kinda worried about powerleveling cards in this exp, is it healthy for card game?

This expnasion has powercreep minions, but this can be still be countered by removal. I'm glad that midrange decks could be revived.
but the most powerful expansion was Herocards.

i am happy it’s at least stronger than RR haha
