I just played a looooooooooooooooooong game against a handlock named Tom with my doragon warrior, and it was a great game, i ended up winning because i rolled the discover a mech, got hecklebot and pulled the last card from his deck which was a doomsayer. The game was straight up amazing, and i wanted to add the guy after to show how through the course of the game through dragon roars and voones, i ended up with 6 deathwings, in my hand at the end of the game and i didn't get to play a single one of them.
It's not that there's a stigma, there's just a lot of suspense.
It's funny, sometimes I'll have the "challenge a friend for 80g" quest and I'll friend the first guy I play against.
Usually, they don't accept.
If they do accept, there's this moment or two while I'm typing, and you can cut the tension with a knife. Will he wish me cancer? Will he promise unnatural acts on my mother, while my sister watches? What circle of hell has invited me to be its friend?
And then I'm like, "hey, gg, I have the play a friend quest, you want to play for 80g?"
You can always sense the surprise, even through text.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Sometimes i just want to say : hey bro wp do you want to play for 80? Or "hey bro i like your deck would you send me the code pls ? When i play against a homebrew deck ...but when im writing hey bro ...
My oponent just throw me to the hell with all my good wishes and hospitality ... cuz he though im gonna be a jerk and said bullshit for my lose game
That's so sad but it can be avoid it ... some players are just like that
If we're being real though, I find myself more annoyed with the people who won't take a chance than the people who BM.
I'm 33, which is old enough to do the "get off my lawn" routine with some of you, but it's not really bout the younger generation. It's about MY generation. Somewhere along the way, the late Gen-Xers and the Millennials decided that the worst thing in the world was hearing a mean word.
I've never once denied a friend request, because honestly, what's the worst that could happen?
I wish others felt the same.

I'm sure that, right after losing a long game to stupid RNG from an OP Hero card, he would have loved to have it rubbed in his face that you also had 6 Deathwings to kill anything he put out there anyway. Boy, he sure missed out!
There are a lot of people that dont accept, but there are a lot of people that do accept.. from my personal experience, most people will accept it, and only a small minority will curse you and then unfriend you..
most people just say gg, glhf etc. and a few engage in longer chat.. but not that few too, id say maybe 5-10%..
I personally always accept. I'm always down to potentially earn 80g or just nerd out about hearthstone with someone new. And it's honestly pretty funny when they insult and unfriend
Accepting friend requests? Rewarding those ignorant fools who have the audacity to think they can be on equal footing with a supreme player like me? Those mongrels should be deleted by life itself let alone be graced with my glorious answers!!

Perfect attitude to have dude. I'm also mid thirties and I get more annoyed when people don't accept. I only ever add to commend someone on their play and yes most people that want to add me usually give it the "I hope your mother blah blah blah" but honestly that's their problem not mine usually makes me giggle that they got so annoyed about a game. If you struggle to accept a friend request on a game then be warned life is going to throw some REAL heavy duty crap at some point and this millennial snowflake attitude helps none of us.
Generally I don't accept friend requests - I just don't want to receive bad vibes from toxic people - too bad I will miss out on the good people out there. It is the same when an unknown number calls me - 80% of the time it is some telemarketing wanting to sell me something I don't need - why is telemarketing still a thing - havent we grown pass that as a society?
It depends on the vibe of the game. If I rolled over my opponent with a top tier deck and he sends a friend request, I figure it's to insult me and I don't accept the request.
I accept requests in other circumstances and it's mostly fine, just people wanting my decklist, or wanting to comment on a game that lasted 40 minutes, or people looking to complete quests, etc.

Happened to me a couple of times before. People just randomly added and challended me after a game, then proceeded to immediately delete me after our friendly match.
I accept. I type in a different language I know. They get more upset. Usually make some "you suck for not being an American comment and are probably gay" (they use more colorful language) and then they remove me as a friend and the fun is done. Funny thing is that I am an American.
I have never had the urge to add someone as a friend after a match. I played and the game is over. Not there to make friends. There to play. If I get the 80g quest there is a post on here to find someone to play against. Too many angry people out there playing hearthstone. If a game makes you angry then maybe it is time to see someone and fill whatever prescription that man in a white coat hands to you.

Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!

I never accept friend quests after matches since most of the time it’s someone flaming me.
Yes.
Then quit playing t1 decks in casual!

I'm greedy for compliments, so I always hope my recent opponent wants to congratulate me the game. In 90% cases they do : )

If only blizzard could add more suitable emotes....

Whenever somebody insults you, say "oh i have 80 quest, but seems I need to find somebody who is more friendly".
That's how you raise children.
