so I have yet to fig. Out how this rope timer animation works. For instance this tavern bawl I have been playing multiple games where the rope will just keep burning at the end far longer than it should during my oppoents turn with all he is doing, while during my turns it finally gives out not giving me anywhere near as much time as he has during his turn.
Just doesn’t make much since and it has happened during multiple matches. Is there a difference between turns when playing on your phone vs someone who plays on a pc with this?
Your opponent already played all their cards and their rope is already gone by the time you see the rope animation "bug". Basically when the opponent plays a card, their game client sends this information to the server and the server to your game client, where it is animated for you. This doesn't happen instantly, so when you see them playing cards on your screen, it's in fact cards that have already been played a few seconds ago, before the rope
Also, you don't "lose" any time on your turn when this happens. That's been fixed. This bug is purely visual now
Yes, your opponent can't affect on your turn's timer anymore. But first turn lasts only 20 seconds. Blizzard made that patch to prevent long boring fights against AFK players even before Witchwood release
Note that this is happening in reverse as well. On your side you are quickly playing cards before the rope burns out and, afterwards, see the animations keep going while you're unable to do anything else.
To your opponent, it LOOKS like you are playing cards and doing actions while the rope sits at the edge giving you 'extra time'.
Just know that when you see it happen to your opponent, what they are actually experiencing is what you see when you are at the end of your turn.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
