Get this on to eyeballs of team 5 because frankly, I’m tired of it.
Create a system that knows what decks are being played card by card in ranked. Then, use this same system to detect decks in casual. Have the system force users to remove let’s say 15 cards from the deck if it detects that you’re playing an exact copy of ranked decks. Or instead of 15 cards, have the system force the player to remove a card based on the powerful synergy of another card (for ex if you put lackey in your deck, you need to remove dark pact or if you play knife juggler, you need to remove call to arms, etc.)
Edit: what if they made it so quests are only completed in ranked mode? Maybe that would fix the issue or casual but it would also be unfair to people who don’t play ranked.. but this fix might make it so bad decks come to casual now.
Edit 2: my first edit was a bad idea, people suggested a new mode instead that doesn’t reward and I guess that’s a better way to fix the same issue. That opens another issue though, jerks might still just bring op decks in here to bully people. Which goes back to my first idea of removing cards. (which I still believe is the best idea)
Now for my opinion (the part people fail to read and then tell me to play floor ranked LMAO)
I hate playing ranked because it’s just the same decks over and over again.. I try casual because I play bad decks but everyone still just net decks and goes on casual instead of just playing ranked (which honestly,. I don’t understand)
Just play another game. You want to force not what decks you use, but what decks are used agsinst you. Why don't you propose a game mode where you choose what youbplay agsinst and just hand your oponent your premade deck. Will that cut it?

Bro what do you mean this kind of system will fix all sorts of things. You’re being restricted too...
While people netdecking in casual is pathetic, your idea to fix the problem is bad. Casual should simply only be for players under a certain level with whatever particular class they are using.

But there are high skill players/ players with big collections who want to try wacky bad stuff but they can’t because of how insane decks actually are... playing to win in casual kinda makes no sense. Maybe change the quests to win games in ranked mode.. that could fix it too.
Or instead of that, how about make casual mode to not reward gold & and not award quest completion points. That way, there is no point of playing this mode rather than just mess around & have "casual fun" . EZ fix.
I hear this complaint far too often. There's no reason that two different modes should be seeing the same decks played. At this point, Casual should just be remade into another mode that forces players to run different decks. For instance:
Classic Mode: Players are limited to only using Basic, Classic, and Hall of Fame cards. The true vanilla experience.
Pauper Mode: Players are limited to only using Basic, Common, and Rare cards. Not a lot of time and/or money invested? No problem.
All these problems would be fixed if Blizzard removed the stupid custom deck functionality. Team 5 clearly knows what class archetypes are the best, so they should produce 3 or 4 playable decks for each class that players can choose from. People definitely shouldn't be allowed to copy and play overpowered decks not designed by Blizzard.
I personally think its more of a gold farming problem. The solution would be to make a mode without a gold reward. Would it completely eliminate netdecks being played there? No, but it would drastically cut down on the number.
Just play Ranked that's it. Be at rank Legend/5/10/15/20 and play fun decks. Easy
You’re misunderstanding my point. I’m not trying to see the same decks over and over again.. I want to fight against fresh, funny, bad decks against my fresh, funny, bad deck..
casual mode should be just that.. CASUAL! Not a worse, useless ranked mode.
Make fun decks competitively viable. There, it's fixed. Nothing else will work. People are ALWAYS going to netdeck and play the best decks, no matter what mode. Just make the decks that are enjoyable to play compete with the best decks instead of forcing people to do braindead aggro or put-you-to-sleep control with nothing in between.
Step 1: delete cards like spiteful summoner from the game. The world won't end if you acknowledge a mistake and remove it. Get rid of Tarim, get rid of call to arms, get rid of lackey and dark pact and the game will be far more enjoyable.
Step 2: fire everyone who made those cards and hire people who THOROUGHLY test cards before printing them.
casual is casual, for u wacky decks, for some1 quest completion without loosing ranks (lets say i dont play pala but get a 60gold quest - I DONT PLAY IT! so should i take bakupala to ladder with 0 experience cuz u have a problem with some1 playing it in casual? i don’t care how op or autopilot the deck is, i won’t risk dropping ranks when i’m 2 stars from getting rank 5!)
so NO, canceling casual as a whole or just the rewards isn’t a good idea.
a completely new mode that doesn’t award anything however would be ok.
Well they gotta reword casual and call it “kinda ranked 2.0 ” and make the new one and call it casual.
Nothing needs fixing. If lots of people are playing their netdecks in Casual, that's a pretty good indication that people want to play netdecks instead of homebrews. Casual is unranked constructed, people are free to play whatever deck they like, and many use it you get used to playing decks they want to ladder with. If you want to play some jank that can't compete, play someone on your friends list. Don't get upset at people for playing good decks and don't expect someone to choose their deck because they think you'll like playing against it.

Bullshit. The decks they are playing do not need practice. You don't need to practice to know to play call to arms on 4 or summoner or lackey+pact on 6 or to umbra+cube your doomguard as soon as you can. The top tier decks play themselves.

I think a lot of people agree that casual needs to be changed actually. Or at least open a new mode.

Would you expect to be fired from your job if you did a couple of things wrong or that didn't succeed? Why call for devs to be fired, most of the cards they release aren't a problem. There's no pleasing people like you and you'll find cards to complain about no matter what.

I think Blizzard should just get rid of the playmode all together but that wont happen....even tho Casual is basically Ranked anyway.
Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
Someone else already said it, but just play your fun/meme decks at a rank floor. Especially at 20 and 15 there aren't a lot of t1 decks.
