So basically I've been playing since Un'Goro, and although I had a brief phase where I played only pirate warrior, I grew out of it and gravitated more towards control decks. Since Frozen Throne and especially now, basically all I want to do is play control, simply because I enjoy the interactions and overall experience more than mindless smorc. However, it seems like there isn't a single viable deck that doesn't run that blasted squid known as N'Zoth, the Corruptor, and it's really pissing me off. I don't want to craft it because it rotates so soon, and like I said, I've only been playing since Un'Goro so I don't have the cards (nor intention) to play wild. Is there any way control can be viable without squiddy? I mean it's gotten to the point where Big Spell Mage runs him too.. It sickens me lol. So is N'Zoth-less control viable? Or do I have to cave and craft the damn thing?
Well there is Armor jade druid which is basically run the way you run fatigue warrior back in the day with DK replacing Justicar and jades replacing Elise for the final blow. Against a lot of foes you basicalyl win by being unkillable.
There's also Quest druid with Malygos but I'm not sure how well taht works against the midrange decks that are about.
Control Warlock is a thing. It DOES use N'Zoth but I don't think it's that required as the real win condition is DK.
Otherwise consider other archetypes, at least until the next rotaion as we're so blasted close.
If you like to play it, just switch to wild. I already did and it is much more fun anyway.
The OP pretty much only has Un'Goro, Knights, and Kobolds cards. how much fun would they have in Wild with only that + N'Zoth? Especially since it means losing 1600 dust that would be going towards the next expansion instead.
Wild is something you get into once your natural collection starts falling into it, which is about 2 years after you start playing. It's a good reason to not dust cards as they go into wild, but I can't see it going well to try to craft cards from scratch in mass for the format.
There's a whole new expansion about to come up and in a few months everyone in Standard will be ditching N'Zoth for those new cards. Best just to bear it out a bit and prepare.

I have mostly standard cards and I tried going into Wild and it is actually a lot of fun tho, and sure there are several decks with a lot of wild cards but most decks i faced have only a couple of Wild cards and the rest are pretty much standard, so it is not a bad idea to craft Nzoth tho.

We share a lot in common, I started a month before Ungoro. I did craft N'zoth but I did it when TFT was released, but I know wild is in my future. I have bought packs from all the old sets and League of Explorers. At this point, unless your swimming in dust , or you have made a huge investment in wild cards, your right, dont craft it. That being said Priest is mostly a control class. You might want to look there. Freeze and secret mage are also controlish.

Death to Aggro!
just smorc 1 month more, 1 month left and a few weeks untril it rotates, so dont craft it IMO

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
Consider wild play.
N'zoth currently is, and will remain, one of the king cards of wild play. Probably one of the top three cards for wild crafting.
A current card that can be used as a standard replacement might be Master Oakheart, but definitely not as strong as N'zoth.
If you like to play it, just switch to wild. I already did and it is much more fun anyway.

Nice
This is maybe not the best solution, but considering you only need to endure it for a month or two:
Play big spell mage and replace him with Medivh.
That being said Priest is mostly a control class. You might want to look there. Freeze and secret mage are also controlish.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
