So my opponent hunter just made a poisonous Exploding Bloatbat with his DK hero power. Me, thinking it wouldn't work, overextended onto the board to crank my minions' health above 3 and then had my board wiped, losing me the game. Since when was this updated? I don't recall this being added to the game.
@Fishtard No your are right, it wasn't always like this, and if i'm right, its either an undocumented change or a change that was briefly mentioned in whatever patch it happened in.

That's Incredible!
every damage works with poison. Even things like knife juggler, or deathrattles
It’s always been a thing
Who does de damage? The minion? If you answer yes, you have the answer to your question.
Its all way been like that it just doesn't work with spells like bladeflurry
Hasn't it always worked like this? Same thing happens with Knife Juggler or Wild Pyromancer.
Ever since Un'Goro, when we could put poisonous on minions who don't normally have it (via adapt), this is how it has worked.

It was officially changed in August with patch 9.00 something.

(patchnotes are at the bottom)
Just an FYI this also works with Anomalus and Baron Geddon while having the Mage DK ability active. Giving you life for each enemy hit.

If a minion says "deal" it works.
If a spell says "deal" it doesn't.
If the spell says "it deals" it does.
I exist, I think.
