Every couple months, I get so irate from losing that I uninstall the game and do other things with my life for a couple weeks (or an entire expansion, like what happened to me with TGT). I've quit about 4 times, today being the latest.
Have you ever quit Hearthstone? How many times and how long do you usually stay off?
0 times. If I have a bad loosing streak, I take a little break, watch some videos, learn for school etc.. And sometimes I analyze my games, maybe my plays were bad.
I've quit once right after tgt came out. I had been playing since gvg but the whole inspire mechanic with tgt was bad and the secret pally meta was horrible. I picked it back up each time a new single player adventure came out (I loved getting/going for heroic) but never got really back into it until ungoro came out. Now I feel like there is a good balance with standard and wild. When I get bored with standard I just go over to wild and it's fresh again. Although I've heard that jade is taking over wild now too.

I just lost to a pirate warrior in wild today and I was just thinking "What if I just didn't play this game for a while?"
Nothing wrong with a break. Just makes the game more fun to play when you come back in my opinion. No point in playing a video game that is not fun to you personally.
This current time marks 3 for me. Once after Beta (just didn't have the collection) once after Old Gods and now because after sitting through UT Hunter, Secret Pally and Patron, I know not to trust Blizzard to handle the current mess they have or even acknowledge it for at LEAST two months. Such a small indie developer they are...
ugh couple times now and i suppose i kinda regret it cuz i missed out on tgt, gvg and nax
My first was after i just started playing this game really hoping to get into the grind and getting my legendary, i finally got it after like 30 packs and sooo happy, guess what it was freakin Nozdormu it was fine and all in the beginning but i tried making this card work and failed everytime so i just quit.
Got back around old gods for c'thun didnt feel like playing cuz i had so much to catch so i quit again
Somewhere around gadgetzan i decide ill spending money on this game and getting my shit together and ive been playing ever since. YAY
Also i quit for a shot while after ungoro cuz i lost 14 straight matches with my incomplete quest rogue (no preps/vancleef/mimic pod) i was so frustrated that i quit.

Patches will be gone in about 8 or 9 months. I'll see how the game looks around that time.
Hard to imagine full-on "quitting" - it seems unnecessary to go thru the whole uninstall nonsense for a free game, haha. However, I usually last a lot longer after a new expansion drops before I get disillusioned with everything, so who knows, maybe my first time will come, haha.
I still enjoy opening packs though, so there's that.
I've never really quit Hearthstone since I started playing around TGT release - I did, however, take a few breaks of about 1-2 months each for various reasons (like when Persona 5 came out this year^^).
From a few days to a few months. This last time I wanted to try out new cards, but I need dust to get them. I'm not going to spend any more money on the game (I've spent around $200 so far). But doing quests feels like a waste of time. Had tavern brawl quest, and just felt like 100% luck. Might as watch the same video play over and over.
I really think the cards are overpriced. You can't trade like with real cards. Can't sell. So it's a loss if you ever quit. I still have some MTG dual lands I could sell for hundreds.
PS I have a lot of games under my belt, 7500 wins. 2500 with rogue. Maybe 7 times legend. A few times with original decks. Top 300 once with my original dragon control warlock. I might reinstall to mess around with new mill rogue, but I need three legends I dont have and I don't think I have the patience.
Yesterday, well it is not actually quitting, I will just complete the quests every 3 days and logout. I am not playing ranked or unranked because this game became boring. I hate this expansion
I only quit once. Right around when TGT came out (not because I was upset about losing to secret pally, I just kinda got bored). I came back a few months ago, and haven't really looked back. Mind you I missed the entire Explorer's League expansion, among others maybe. So I know nothing about Reno decks haha.

Twice so far, once during Undertaker Hunter era (so early Naxx) and then again after Karazhan. The Un'Goro meta was by far the best and I miss it quite a bit although Wild is still pretty reasonable place to play atm if you want a more diverse meta.

I've never quit, but I have stopped playing when I stop getting burn out and I end up just playing enough to get the card back for the month.

only once...undertaker Era, it wasn't as bad as people picture it here, it was worse... much much worse!...
Never a long time because generally i quit as soon as i lose a game haha
Except if i am in casual. But you can't really quit the game because these fucking quests make you come back on the game at least every three days
