Lol that first page. So much bs it's insane. If you grind 4 hours each day you can get 2 packs every 3 days. Holy sht so much generosity from Bli$$ard. ... Oh sure if you can grind 4-5 hours each day to get your 30 wins you can open 2 packs in 3 days.
Why the misinformation?
Doing the quest alone is 50-60 gold + the 10-20 it took to solve it, and this can be done within an hour. That alone gives the "2 packs in 3 days".
Now, IF you choose to also grind for hours each day, then you can get additional 100g/day, which is 3 more packs, making it a total of 5 packs in 3 days.
I would also be happy with a bit better model and some more goodies in HS, but let's argue with real facts, not 'alternate' ones ;)
What alternate facts? Everything i've posted is real.
It wasn't casual i mentioned the first page you know? Because there 2 of the first 5 posts mentioned you can get 2 packs every 3 days (forgetting to mention you have to grind 10-12 hours in those 3 days to get those). The math isn't complicated man, 50g average quest plus 100g grind per day=150g per day average which means on average 2 packs every 3 days.
Hearthstone f2p model is garbage and needs to be reworked (same for arena prizes btw, getting a normal common card as a prize at 6 wins is beyond retarded).
Wait what?
The math indeed isn't complicated. As you say, with grinding it's "...150g per day average..." = 1.5 pack per day.
Not sure how you translate that into "...on average 2 packs every 3 days"
121.6 / 3 days * 2 packs = 81.06 packs per cycle "casually"
121.6 / 3 days * 5 packs = 202.6 packs per cycle "grinding"
100 packs is roughly 75% of an expansion
--------
The moral of the story is that a f2p casual player who periodically grinds can reasonably expect to acquire most of an expansion at the time of its release.

365 days / 3 expansions = 121.6 days cycle
