Make a least your daily quests and don't need to worry about, I do, never spend a cent in game and for me the release of new content is too slow, by far, the most fun in this game are the first two weeks after a expansion, all new cards and decks in testing and you see a lot of variety and players trying to discover the best options, after that all you see is the majority of player mindless and brainless copy&paste the tier 1 or 2 decks and you don't see anything else, before MSoG was the midface shaman, after pirates vs Reno.
For me Blizzard can release 1.000 new cards for each month.
I came to page 3 to write, well basically, exactly this.
Well said, so true. Stop whining, earn some money and pay for packs if you like the game so much.
You guys are pathetic. I have a job, and I have alot of responsibilities too. I would pay for a company to enjoy a game, once or twice.. but not regularly ! If you have a job, and your parents are buying everything for you, then you have your own pocket money to enjoy and buy in game content..
In my case, I have a job, and i run a small business.. I work 6days a week for 9 hours..and I really cant pay for blizz again and again and again..
TRY to Respect others.. and appreciate what you have bcuz ur parents wont be available looking after you everyday.
I don't think I follow? Some of the best decks right now are nearly f2p, all aggro cancer. Aggro gets stronger each expansion. Unless Blizzard neuters Aggro (which I doubt, they have never done so yet) there will always be competitive f2p decks in the future.
Now if you mean a f2p player getting all the cards, I don't think this was ever really viable, unless you were an arena master. But yeah this is going to get a lot more expensive, and if Blizzard keeps printing crap like Grook Fu Master they're going to make me less enthusiastic about continuing.
The one thing I'm asking for is to get all cards including duplicates until the next expansion arrives but in a human way of grinding (not like in WoW where you need to spend way much time). This was something pretty much difficult now and I really have the feeling that it's gonna be even more difficult when 3 expansions arrive each year. As I said, I didn't have a problem with buying adventures as they were pretty cheap in my opinion. I don't want to play just the one deck to hit legend, I don't even care about hitting legend (already hit multiple times) but I want to try out different kind of decks without netdecking and keep my other cards to play it once more when I have enough of my newer decks. Right now, you already have to spend way too much time in farming gold and if I remember correctly, Blizz already stated that they don't want us to keep that much gold (don't have any proof but there was a blue post once)
e:// this js also why you see a lot of shamans right now. They just create just one single deck (the best one) because they don't have the other cards. In fact if we had more ways of getting cards (talking about 50-80 cards for free) people would build way more decks than just the one single deck. At least this is what I'm assuming
Adventures normally costed about 3500g which is 35 packs....That 3500 gold got you the 40 cards that were in an adventure...With expansions you will receive more then 40 cards with 35 packs, therefore it's a improvement.
Sorry, but that's so much bull**** here written that i can only facepalm. Yes, you gain more cards, but beside of this:
1.) Expansion have much more "crap"-cards that are unplayable. Blizzard need to create cards but they said they create cards that are crappy intentional. They avoided it much in Adventures simply because the card pool is lower.
2.) Adventures have themes, and you gain the full theme after all. Expansions it's much harder to get all cards that you need for an deck.
3.) Rares and Legendaries. This are almost impossible to get without crafting them with an Expansion. Adventure does not have this problem. So with 35 packs you gain around 3-4 rares and maybe 1 legendary. With an adventure you gain 4-5 Legendaries.
Sorry, but having more cards is simply bull**** if 50% or more are unplayable. An Adventure with MEANINGFUL cards can impact the meta FAR MORE than having a large card pool.
You're fully aware that every single pack contains at least 1 rare right? So getting only 3-4 rares in 35 packs is impossible...Worst case scenario you get 35-40 rares.
The problem to me is that we will not get enough time, without buying packs with money, to get cards beyond the must have ones, and this if they are very few like in this last expansion. But the thing is there are a lot of cards that are not played in the best decks that are intetesting and likely fun to experiment with. Now I will not get those cards. I have to save for the next expansion already. With the first adventures i saved gold to buy them. Then I realized that around 20 euro for a bunch of cards including some legendaries plus a fun pve experience was a good deal and gave me more gold to buy other packs. I got nearly 300 packs from wispers of the old gods and still I don't have all the cards that I would like. From mean streets I opened around 100 packs and now I can't open anymore. It's good that the useful cards are very few, I only miss patches that I don't really like and a dirty rat and 2 rares that I will now craft. But there a great Number of cards that would be fun to have and now will never have. Adventures gave a needed pause between expansions and they were way more fun. And btw grinding 30 victories each day for 100g, not very funny. And its sad to hope that in next expansions there will be few good cards ao that it will be easy to get all of them.
There's this one thing, that really annoys me when we talk f2p/p2w in Hearthstone, and that is the fact, that people for some reason expect to play a fullpowered game, without investing anything in it.
You are more than welcome to complain about p2w games, such as Street Fighter x Tekken, where you - besides having payed the price of a full game - could pay further for gameplay enhancements, that would give you an unfair advantage in PvP, because that is a obvious example of the gamedevelopers who speculate in how to disrupt the fair play in a multiplayer setting, in order to make profit.
In Hearthstone, you haven't payed for more than you are willing to, but still have full access to the game. Even further, the game actually gives you rewards so you can save money. The payoff is time, but you aren't forced, and you can in theory still get all the legendarys you need in one pack, and superior epics and rares in the next.
But you chose the option to play the slow route, instead of investing in the game - exactly like you do with any other game, paying for it. And because people pay for it, Blizzard continues to develop on it, and that is the main reason only.
I think nobody can deny that this move makes it harder/more expensive to get a decent amount of playable cards:
I opened about 160 mean streets packs, and got only 3 unique legendaries, so 160 dollars worth of cards netted me only 3 unplayable legendaries. An adventure is 29.99 for everything......

If you opened around 160 MsoG packs it was definetly below 160 since pity timer exist. For every 40 packs of the same kind you should get guaranteed legendary. On average around 20 but looks like you got really unlucky.
Wow, I'm confused. Prior to this f2p players wore their F2P title as a badge of honor! ''Look at me, I'm f2p, I'm better than you!'' was a common attitude that could be found on various Hearthstone forums. Now being f2p is actually going to become a sort of a punishment for some of them. Sweet irony :)

Not really punishment, though I do agree that the attitude f2p = better was retarded, "p2p" just means bigger collection.
1. DIsenchant all golden cards you already have maximum normal copies of, that's a Lot, and i mean A LOT of dust you can get
2. Never do 40 gold quests unless it's unavoidable
examples: you have 3 quests in queue and already rerolled for the day and ended up with 3 40 gold quests.
Deal 100 Damage to your opponent is also unavoidable (see point 3)
Avoid quests like the Play X spells for 40 gold* or destroy X minions for 40 gold**.,
3. Win 12 games a day, Plain and simple, this takes 1 hour on average and the wins you accumulate with your quests count towards this as well, Use a fast deck if you please, but please do it in ranked and not casual, that way you'll accumulate wins towards your golden Hero at the same time.
* Avoiding the `playing X spells quest is super easy, just win your 12 games with Zoolock, optional for newer players:if you don't have Brm just craft a Zoolock deck for wild once Brm rotates out and lets you craft Imp Gang Boss, ZOO in wild is really efficient and doesn't need a bunch of spells, just Power Overwhelming and Imp-losion plus cards like Nerubian Egg and Haunted Creeper are commons and rares, so it's a really cheap deck that won't take more than 1600 dust.
**Avoiding the Destroy X minions quest is something as simple as playing Pirate Warrior or any face deck, yes, even with Pirates nerfed the damage output of the deck should be enough to rack up some wins

It's all cool and correct. But what's reason to be successful as F2P if the game is in unplayable state anyway? And it's gonna be only worse with all these changes.
I mean, it's painful experience even play 1 hour nowadays.

It was all MSG packs, i got 4 legendaries out of those 160 packs, but 2 of them were the same. that is why i said i got 3 UNIQUE legendaries.

These changes only help the game as a whole...and there is still Wild...why don't people understand what Wild is?

pretty shitty luck right?
Probably more towards average, but you can believe someone is out to get you all day if you want.

The game is free to play, not free to have everything. Blizzard is a company and companies exist to make money. They love to have the F2P players, but those players don't keep them in business at the end of the day. You can reasonably play Hearthstone without spending a dime and still have a decent collection and be able to build a variety of decks. If you are expecting you should have more than that without spending any money you're delusional and overly entitled.
The problem is the reward structure for Constructed is under-rewarding and a complete mess. If you're a good Arena player you can be F2P easily like myself...I've gotten thousands of packs from Arena, plus all the gold and card rewards on top. It's only hard being f2p if your a bad player.
I completely agree that the reward structure for Constructed is lacking. Unless you're a streamer or trying to break out as a pro there is little incentive to spend all the time grinding ranks just to get what amounts to a tiny bit of extra dust.
