I've been playing a lot of CW lately to crush midrange shamans. Been working great so far, but I have one question about the matchup. When, if ever, is it correct to intentionally leave their Mana Tide Totems alive so that they fatigue faster? I found in almost all of my games that the game went to fatigue, and I would always choose to leave up their Mana Tides when they had about 12 cards remaining, even if I only had 4-5 cards left in my hand to respond to the threats they would draw from it.
Is this correct? If not, what is the ideal situation to leave the totems up? Specifically in the mid-game. I imagine in the late game it is almost always good to let them kill themselves.
It's even match-up for Midrange Shaman (51/49 by VS data). So I'm not sure about 'crushing'.
It's dangerous to keep Mana Tide Totem alive, Midrange Shaman has more threats then you have removals in deck, so giving him card advantage is way too risky.

Really? I've only lost 1 out of 6 games against them. Not a big sample size, but I don't play too often. The deck seems to have all the right tools to crush them. Maybe I'm just up against bad midrange shaman players, but that doesn't seem to necessarily be the case.

It's really rank and build dependent. In low ranks people tend to play into AoE and ignore Revenge threshold. Also builds with Bloodlust and/or Ragnaros are stronger. I had 8-2 with Midrange Shaman last season vs Control and C'Thun Warriors at Rank 4 and higher (and 9-4 against all Warriors including Pirate and Dragon). Control archetypes are definitely easiest Warriors to beat as Midrange Shaman.

No, if the game gets to fatigue you're going to win anyway so by leaving their Mana Tide alive you're basically just giving them free stuff.
In fatigue warrior I leave mana tide totem and northshire cleric up all the time, as long as I have a brawl in hand or a ton of other control.
Late game shaman is bad anyway

Unless you are Mill Rogue
No mate, it is a very bad idea to leave Mana Tide Totem alive.

If you leave it up, you are giving them stuff to play to force you to Brawl while still keeping the big stuff like double 0 mana 5/5.
If they know what they are doing they only play around brawl and revenge so leaving it up is suicide.
leave only if they played thunderbluffs, they have a small board, you have a brawl and plenty of armor and your opponent has more cards than you.
which pretty much means kill it :D
Maybe with a deck teched to counter midrange shaman? Nah. Just kill it.
