Hello Dear Players I would like to discuss Blade Flurry and the current situation of rouge. Oil Rouge was by far my favorite class to play in hearthstone, that crazy lethals I LOVED IT! Oil Tinker Face Flurry it really felt amazing where i understand it can be compared to Fon Savage Roar... Rouge was not one of the top tier classes when the nerf hit. At the moment Rouge does not have access to good AOE. It gets its advantage from having efficient single target removal (Prep-Evis-Backstab etc) Rouge's other AOE options are Dark Iron Skulker (Which recently I am having good results with it) - Fan of Knives 1 damage can be underwhelming cycle option is always nice but still feels a little awkward. Thalanos Fan (2damage AOE) So at the moment there is no way for rouge to clear a swarmed board with 3 health minions except like skulker fan 8 mana or double azure fan or Bm azure etc. or Vanish Let's look at other classes and their potential clears Druid- Swipe Starfall Warlock - Hellfire Shadowflame Nether Priest - Nova Ex Auch Mage - Flamestrike Blizzard Flamewalker Arcanemissiles etc Paladin - Famous EQ Conc Pyro Warrior - Aoe clear GOD Revenge - Brawl - Ghoul etc Shaman - LS - Ele Des - Maelstorm high accessibility to SD Hunter - Powershot - Explo trap - Exploshot
Rouge's AOE clear seems really the worst one among all classes and a class not having a good clear option is also effecting the deck design space.
Let's say Blade Flurry was in it's previous form potential combos are. 3 mana fork clear - Deadly poison clear - Dagger Clear - Assassins Blade DP Clear. It will usually be deal 3 damage to board and 6 to face on average. If AsAs blade becomes a thing it can do 5 damage board clear with flurry but that is an expensive 3 card combo. Mostly it is going to be used as deal 3 damage enemy minions with face damage. Oil also rotated out from standart and it will still be ok in standard since there is sludge belcher nzoth hype :) . Anyways usually it is a 3 damage clear with 2card combo. We can compare auch circle or arcane explosion destroy weapon. the card doesn't insanely overpowered... It is just compensating and making combo rouge more viable if it wasn't fully nerf. If you played rouge you know how awkward it is sometimes. You are stuck with double prep cold blood - conceal poison evis evis etc. Sometimes you lose games to dead draws i think flurry synergy can also patch that area. All in all Blizzard I LOVE BLADE FLURRY just that sound of weapon destroying seeing that face damage is so amazing. Since the nerf i spent everyday hoping Flurry will come back and other players i would love to hear your opinion about the nerf and your thoughts on rouge. :) !
Rogue still has more when it comes to boardclears than hunters do; and you listed them. If you're running into a bazillion zoo players you can always put BF back; it's bad but not unplayable if your only intention is to clear the board. Flurry was nerfed (arguably too hard) for a reason.
Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.

What do you mean? Not unplayable?
In what world are you living? It costs 7 mana to deal 3 damage to all enemy minions AND burn 2 cards, AND destroy your weapon.
And what is that magical mysterious reason why Blade Flurry was nerfed anyway? Rogue in Standard lost the Tinker's Sharpsword Oil (the card that made BF good) when GvG rotated out, and since then Rogues haven't received any decent weapon / buff from any kind.
Not to mention that not only can't deal face damage anymore, but it also costs 4 mana the card alone.
I agree though that we can't expect an ''un-nerf'', since Blizzard is too proud to admit that they completely screwed up a card and fix it again. Never a card that has been overnerfed has returned to playability ever

They flat out admitted, on video, that the Warsong nerf was a card gutting. And now it's been declared so bad that it was ruining warrior's win rate in Arena and had to be removed. Did nothing to make Warsong change to something more interesting.
They have declared, in the past, that while they will nerf, though they hold that back a bit, they will not buff. The idea is that if they nerf a card too much it mostly just hruts the card and specific deck. If they buff a card and overbuff it (and upping 1 point can take a card from 'bad' ot 'overbuffed') then it affects the entire meta in horrible ways.
For evidence I post the last card that they actually buffed after an overnerf: Unleash the Hounds. It was too strong as a 'beasts have charge' card so it summoned hounds at 4 mana. It was an overnerf and was worthless so they buffed it to 2 mana. The result was an insane era of Hunter. Besides, the main purpose of nerfing blade fury was to make sure it's NOT a reliable card as the main goal was to make sure classic/basic wasn't full of too many 'go to' cards for a class. If rogue needs AoE then they'd rather put it into an expansion.

Welp, there it goes your argument. Rogue can't be allowed to have ''too many'' reliable cards in the classic set (if you think that a 2+ cards combo just to clear the board is 'reliable' in this meta).
Just for your information, Unleash the Hounds was changed 3 times before what is today (including un-nerf) Is it OP? Not at all.
You should be hired by Blizzard, dear, to make sure all the classes have classic/bassic set full of shit that fits only one deck.
Iksar talking about Rogue in Reddit: "Blade Flurry's AOE potential just represented something we didn't think Rogue should be good at. I'm glad there is the space there to do weapon buffs and weapons, but it doesn't mean that is going to happen every set just so Blade Flurry can be powerful." So I would say no un-nerfing coming.

Rogue very much thought a 2 card combo was good enough when we had a ton more deathrattle cards, especially when it included face damage. It'll be much more useful in a meta full of single-death 3 health tempo cards.
As for Unleash, it went from a broken charge card to an unusable minion summoner, to a broken card draw/minion summoner to what it is today..unused by almost every deck just like Blade Fury.

Just stating why blizzard won't change it ,because, by their own words, they'd love a world where every deck used no more than 10 classic cards. I mean good #()#) look what they did to Execute!
Which is actually better than what the pro scene wanted from them, to simply send the Classic/Basic set to Wild completely.
If you dislike it, don't rage on the messenger. Rage on the game designers. I'm just here to answer the question "can we expect a nerf on blade fury." The answer is "probably not given blizzard's history and stances on such matters." Chances are, if they feel rogue needs AoE they'll give rogue an expansion card that does the job.

I mean it has never happened before.
No. We can't.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

almost EVERY hunter uses UTH.......
Lol no. I don't know how you link the current nerfs with unnerfing blade flurry. Rogue wasn't touched with these nerfs, so there is no connection.
It probably should, but it won't.
I think the new text on the card is correct, but the mana cost is absurd. Should have stayed at 2
