Everybody sais, that control decks are bad in this meta cause there is a lot of midrange decks.Midrange is not a problem for control decks! Before the brm there were 3 archetypes of decks; Agro, Midrange and Control.Sure there were some combo decks but really just few. After introduce of Thaurissan OTK'S decks stated to be a competitive decks. And this game was like paper- rock- scissors(agro beats midrange, midrange beats control and control beats aggro).Everything was balanced but after introduce of otk decks control decks started to be the weakest archetypes cause they were loosing to midrange and otk. Before worgen otk deck in standard, control decks were really good at ladder(cw, n'zoth pala, cthun warrior) but after worgen they just get wreck to the tier 2.Midrange is not a problem but otk!
Hmmm. The problem I have as a control player is taht I have 2 answers in my deck. 2 Equality. The opposing Shaman has 16 answers in his deck. (or whatever) He's going to draw into his win condition a hell of a lot more consistantly than I am going to draw into my answers for his win conditions.
When I do draw an Equality, I have a chance. No equality generally means I lose. His deck has no such concern.
I'd like to say that there are a few surviving control archetypes. Warrior is still an aggressively controlling class and Mage has stepped up to the plate with new uses for its cards from Karahzan.
You are right in the sense that control has taken a hit with the new archetypes of OTK and especially the aggressive decks that have surface from Shaman and Hunter. However, to say that it is no longer a dangerous archetype is a bit foolish to me. I still have my head handed to me on a silver plate by Warrior control. The thing about the new aggro decks that came out of Rogue, Shaman, and Hunter is that if they get to late game and you can survive the Flame-wreathed Faceless's and the Call of the Wild plays, you win. Often times, they won't run any kind of healing or any card draw besides the obvious Mana Tide totem and Quickshot. Even then, by the late game when they don't have anything in hand and don't have any way to get rid of your bigger minions. Plus, you have a bigger advantage if you run Prince Malchazar or Elise Starseeker.
If you get the chance, try running a control shaman deck. It will surprise you because it is really fun, and Hallazeal makes shaman amazing and worth its 1600 dust.

OTK wargon isn't that common of a deck nowadays. These days, it's shaman and hunter that are popular. Hunter only runs as a midrange deck while shaman has a powerful midrange option. So the idea that combo and not midrange holding back control doesn't really work at the moment.
And btw, if you are using the old MTG trilogy for what counters what, it's NOT Agro/Midrange/Control but Control/Combo/Aggro with Control beating Combo, Combo beating Aggro, and Aggro beating Control. Midrange, in MTG came later, though the deck works differently to what we do (Tempo in HS fits better somewhat.. messy since we have different mana situations). Thus traditionally Aggro had an advantage to Control (which is why Control always has that "I MUST find my removal or I die" while aggro just does their thing).
Note that when true control decks show up, it takes either a very Taunt-filled control deck (like old handlock) or control warrior to stop them. Aggro doesn't have a chance against a GOOD combo deck wielded by an effective player.
