I never accept friend requests from people after I had beaten them, because I don't like the hate talking after that. I may accept someone if something really weird happened..
Because they Keep trying to add me afterwards and I Keep declining :) They would loooooooove to tell me how stupid i am but they will never get the Chance.
I've actually only received 2-3 friend requests after a match. One I accepted immediately was what appeared to be a budget mage that played really well against my Renolock shortly after that was a brand new deck in the meta. He lost, but he managed to play it really close with a couple of momentum swings. I'm glad I accepted because he just wanted to talk about my deck and what a good match it was.
I'm fairly sure the other 1 or 2 requests weren't that close, and may have involved one or both of us playing aggro decks. For those I waited 24 hours before accepting, and when I never heard from the guy after we were online at the same time multiple times, I removed him.
TBH, the narrow-mindedness of people on these forums astounds me. I play "cancer" decks, but I don't emote-spam anyone (often I just don't emote and I squelch my opponent almost immediately because I'd like to focus on the game). I tend not to play control for two reasons. 1.) I'm married and I work full time. If I spend too much time on the game, I hear it from my wife because I'm either not spending time with her or chores around the house are suffering. I want my time to count when I can play, so shorter games help the climb. I wouldn't feel particularly satisfied if I played control all season and only ended at rank 12 because the games took so long. 2.) I'm missing many of the necessary legendaries. No Alex, Bloodmage, or Anto for Freeze Mage, and Wallet Warrior is right out. For priest variants, I don't have Lightbomb and am not sure it's worth crafting since I don't know that I'll play it in Wild.
, unless you were playing a genuinely interesting deck and you were a turn away from some kind of crazy double Malygos surprise lethal or something.I
How would you know they were a turn away from some kind of crazy double Malygos suprise lethal or something if you didn't accept the request?
You can't ever know for sure, but in the majority of cases, when your midrange druid opponent hits turn 9, it's probably going to be Force Roar and not Malygos that gets you. (Note that this has actually happened to me, though not on turn 9, so if I had won earlier I wouldn't have known about the incoming Mary, making your point perfectly valid).
It's just far more likely that they had something interesting if you've seen them drop Grove Tender and Grim Patron in the same list than if you've seen them drop the same ResidentSleeper Growth->Shredder->Drake->Coin->Boom curve that every other druid is running.

I accept friend requests two or three days after. So they forget who I am, I play casual after getting to rank 5 or so. Them play fun decks in casual, sometimes intentionally throwing games.
I've accepted quite a few who have added me after having really good matches. We've gone on to talk about why the match was so intense, and continue being friends in the future.
I've also got the ones adding me because I ended up winning, and the first thing they say is "I hope you and your whole family get cancer immediately so you can rid this world of your filth."
That stuff makes me genuinely upset. Cancer isn't something to joke around about.
I've never insulted anyone that I've added as a friend. There was one guy who was spamming emotes literally every time they were up and I squelched him. After the game ended I added him and asked him if he kept spamming them throughout the game, but then he removed me ;-/
For some who do accept, they are the ones who tell me how lucky they were. I've had a normal conversation with them, but I remove them later on. I have a ton of friends who play Hearthstone, but they're all from Heroes of the Storm. The thing is, in Heroes of the Storm, people accept friend requests all the time. I suppose that's because you send friend requests to people who were on your team, win or lose. People are very accepting there.
Why would any of this information matter to my opponent? I don't know, why does anyone talk about any game they play? In tournaments people gush over every play made. Afterwards they talk about what could have happened, etc. I don't see how those games are any different. Someone won, someone lost.
i pretty much accept all friend requests. Most times its salty people other times its people with actual consideration and questions about the deck and so forth. Hearthstone is a much better game over on pretty much all counts at rank 25 to rank 15. Pretty much 14 to rank 5 is just cancer people trying to get ahead and whoa be unto you if u are the person that hinders their progress. It evens out after that with a fair mixture of people at rank 4 up into legend depending on the deck you are playing.

Just an ordinary guy trying to live an extraordinary life. Oh and make decks along the way for funsies.....^_^
Why do you feel the need to tell them this? Isnt it enough that you know you could win? I'm sincerely curious since they would most likely not care
Because on rare occasions it can lead to a very fun conversation and good friendship.
On another note, I once played control hunter, a long time ago, and I completely obliterated someone, I also got quite lucky, and after the match he sent me a friend request and I accepted. He told me: "Promise me you'll reach legend with this deck this season. You had answer to everything I played, your deck is amazing!" - he was such an awesome guy but I ended up failing him (didn't reach legend). By the way he played face hunter.

Every once in a while I may send a friend request to an opponent, win or loss. Usually they don't accept the request but if someone does accept I congratulate them for getting pass all my control, if they loss I congratulate them for doing well in what they did do. After that I may keep them on and talk with them while were playing or might face them again. Anyways when I play, I play to play nice and with lots of control decks. If somebody sends me a request, though I accept sometimes but most times it's some jerk player spamming stuff or swearing at me for losing or whatever.

I don't want to be friends with losers.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.
You sound really obnoxious. Why do people feel a need to do this..?
i knock on the door
its me goku
lol i never accept friend request i have 0 friends on the list even close people i know are ignored, clean list is best list, remember that
Well most of the time people just want to flame. Depending on how the game went with emotes and how the vibe felt i accept or decline :)
I have accepted a few requests and for the most part they have been positive.
But if it is "Friends" you are really looking for find the forum thread and post your battletag .
Most people will be skeptical to accept , and what you wanted to say is of no relevance for them only yourself so...
most of the times these friend requests are just raging kids. no point accepting them.
