I love hearthstone and the community in general, but today I had a really bad experience that made me go so far as to make a hearthpwn account just to post this thread.
So what happened? I Logged in to my EU account for the daily quests and lo and behold "Sweet! I got the spectator quest that gives the pack." It was my only quest and I only had one person in my friends list online (as I play awkward times living in Australia). It was an EU player called <snip> I think I played in an open tournament some time ago. So I go to start spectating and I immediately type within 1 second "hey i got the quest." What am I met with? The lowest of the low behavior imo in Hearthstone - an immediate unfriending to deny someone a pack. I mean seriously, what kind of human being does that? Now I have to wait 12 hours or so til the bulk of EU players come back online to get that pack.
The guy was playing some ranked 7 match and I hardly think that the dim possibility of me somehow being a friend of his opponent at the time would warrant such a low move. He could of at least asked "Hey dude, where do I know you from?" or something before he unfriended.
So that's my rant. So let me put it out there. What do you think is the easiest way to make someone salty in Hearthstone?
There was this time I was playing aggro paladin and just before killing the guy with my southsea deckhand I deliberately attacked with the last charge of my weapon first, and then spammed "That was a mistake" a couple of times before revealing I had lethal from hand anyway.
Let's just say the guy added me and wasn't very amused.
Yea the good old overkill gloating. Doesn't quite beat the 1 in a million chance OTK right before you were supposed to die comeback in term of creating saltiness.

well i mean giving the other dude the benefit of the doubt, i'm sure he was trying to climb ladder and wanted to focus on the game. Given Rank 7 is rather low at this point, you were trying to just "use him" for the pack. Perhaps if you started the conversation with something more related to his game rather than your quest...it may have gone better. If you're still short on friends on EU, PM me.

Wow, that seems really mature beeing salty when a random guy removes you from friendlist
To the ACTUAL point you raise....whoever that was should be left well alone - clearly somebody with a deep insecurity complex!
WTF dude, how do you know that?. Are you saying that all the people out there with deep insecurity complexes act like jerks?. You don't seem like a very nice person...
Be grateful you got the pack quest I didn't got that quest for 2 months.. till last week there is a friend of mine who got it every.. single .. week he was always saying "win I got the quest" :/ never lucky

I was thinking about that, too. I personally don't mind if someone watch and talk to me while playing, but that can distract some people, maybe... that can explain his behavior.
TBH someone spectating you and potentially helping you making decisions is very beneficial.. I mean..I play rombo lock and I almost never consider hellfire as lethal a friend of mine reminded it to me like twice and thanks to that I got lethal in some games.. some players think I spectate them for a questt but I just enjoy spectating, it's fun and the stress (if any) is at the other dude.
BM is so popular in EU servers. I think 9 out of 10 games i have to deal with BM. Although its quite funny when you see a new player BM (only playing basic cards) and you end up beating them and just spamming emotes :P
My personal favorite tho is getting lethal and always spamming sorry :P "Jaraxxus is SORRY!"
More tournaments on EU.. can do them early morning before work. Yea true, happy I got the quest if nothing else :). Thanks everyone for offering up your IDs and always fun watching the trolls come out from under the bridge.

From what he said the only implication you can get is that behaving like that implies having a deep insecurity complex. Not the other way round.

Even if you are right, he is still wrong. Not all people that behaves like that have a deep insecurity complex, there are many people out there that usually act like jerks out and really enjoy life.

Something that could've also happened is he was drinking and/or playing with some friends and when you started spectating he might've commented smth on that which made him feel stupid and drunk ppl feeling stupid usually do more stupid things...it's quite common^^

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
Look at the bright side, at least he didn't insult you! There is a big load of morons here and there unfortunately, sorry you had to cross paths with one of them...

Hey everyone,

Just add me chief - Perly#2754. I warn you now the playstyle is awful and my language is bad enough enough to make a sailor blush
In terms of salt, I would suggest just spam well played or make sure you use all of your allotted time.
Haha, thanks man. Will do.
Yea i can tolerate the usual salt inducing methods, but this one really got under my skin

First world problems...
"In this world some people born are like keys that move the world and exist having no connection to the social hierarchy established by man."
Feel free to PM me for help or advice.
