I totally agree with some of the posters. The cards will change. Standard will be way more interesting than Wild. Cards are designed for the new sets. Plus older players will rotate out of the game and new players will start. Will they start playing wild or standard? Let me make an educated guess and say standard.
I've seen too many games and too many formats. Trust me on this one. I am not crying about the changes. I totally welcome them. But I don't welcome how the change in the format is introduced!

Its not like they nerfed any cards to give you full refund like Leeroy. Its not like they stole your collection and made it unplayable. You can still play wild queue with all your cards when it will be released. I dont see any particular reason for fullprice de.
Why would I play Wild for 1 second, if I play entirely for the competetive scene? The "go play wild" is such a crap argument

1- Because you are not a pro player who gets money in this game, neither participates tournaments.
2- Because Wild mode is also competitive, with rank ladder and legend rank
Maybe it's time to take a break from Hearthstone until the next expansion comes out. Not until then will we know if Wild will be viable, fun or interesting.
Blizzard is gambling that Hearthstone can be a big money game for the long term. Set rotation requires players to keep buying new cards rather than coasting on their existing decks and cards. They have little incentive to make Wild anything more than a Tavern Brawl style side-show. Naming it "Wild" provides a clue into how Blizzard sees this format.
No one could`ve sustained the balancing of the game with more than 100 cards being realesed every 6 months, in my opnion, this change was going to happen sooner or later , like any serious tcg, for exemple magic the gathering.

That's not true, they could have went the way of Yugioh and kept the game balanced while having insane power creep. I wouldn't advise that as I feel that the power creep completely ruined the game, but Yugioh keeps chugging along year after year somehow.
I'm with op on this one. One would craft golden cards, particularly from an adventure because you can never pull them from packs. I wouldn't have done so if I knew about the upcoming format implementation. The typical person that crafts golden decks play on a more competitive level, so the wild format isn't really appealing. The casual plebs that hate on people that spend money in this game are amusing, they don't understand that the money we spend keeps the game going. If everyone was free to play there wouldn't be a future for Hearthstone.
I agree, Blizzard should give a full disenchant value for Golden cards no longer usable in the standard format.
Also, I would like to have a 1 time only thing. After that we do know that a format like this exists. So my decision has all the information avalaible. This change is unheard of and while I agree that they only full refund on balance changes, this fits this category as well. They change how the game and the expansion system works dramatically!
This right here.
After Nerfing a card, you got full dust refund for it -- even though you could still play it in "standard"...
And quite frankly, this change is pretty much EXACTLY like making a card "Casual only" -- unplayable in ranked (ranked Standard)...
I will keep most of my cards -- but dammit, those that want the full value for the cards SHOULD get it.

We ask u to go play Wild because you crafted those cards for Wild.

The format that you can play the card is still the same: Ranked, which is soon to be known as Wild.
They should for this one instance (since we had no way to know when purchasing gvg or naxx) give at least a higher ratio, because no matter how you look at it. Cards were devalued give us the one time option (idk a few days before standard drops or when the new set drops ) to let us duest and gvg or nax for say half value instead of quarter value meaning like 800 for legendaries (plain) and 200 for epics. and then from then on implement the rules, Because we now know "ok if i buy this adventure its only worth full value for 1-2 years. TLDR one time double dust on cards being phased out with new changes, then back to normal
1: You can still play these cards in the "Wild" format, it's not like they are unplayable going forward.
2: That's like asking every rotation for a refund on every thing you bought, it ain't happening. You spent the money AND HAVE BEEN GETTING USE out of the golden cards, if you had spent all this money two nights ago, I could understand your claim for a refund given the sudden news, that's not your case however.
I have spent money on the game, money that will be invalidated with standard, why am I not asking for a refund ? Because I have been using them since then. I however am holding any form of money for the time being due to the announcement.
The rage is real. Literally nothing is based in fact, this is all hype.
Blizzard finally makes a good decision and agrees to change basic/classic cards and we all assume no one will take wild seriously. They both have separate ladder scores, which probably means that there will be separate ladder areas to play legend standard or legend wild.
So it makes new players happy because they have a place to be competitive in (standard) and it makes older players happy because we don't have to deal with them until they craft some cards and earn their stripes.
To make this clear for everyone: "Wild" will become the new casual mode and will evolve to full-retard-trololol-mode over time:
- Let's be honest: A lot of ppl play HS also for Epeen (me included). If standard is being propagated in official tournament and your profile shows only your standard rank, it is THE (ONLY) way to play the game.
- Cards are going to be developed, balanced and revisioned with STANDARD mode in mind. They might (and at a certain point in time: WILL) be completely broken, if used with cards from older/banned expansions. While Wild might be also fun right after standard format starts, it will become utter BS after 2 additional expansions, in which no designer kept cards like Boom and Shredder in mind anymore.
So instead of treating HS as the digital game it is and keep it fresh with constant balance patches and revisions, they decided to go for full cash grab and going to treat it like a PHYSICAL CARD GAME, which it is OBVIOUSLY NOT. When we asked in the past for constant balance patches, they said: "NOOO! We can't do that! Players would be very sad, if their beloved cards in which they invested so much time and money, became worse!" And now THEY REMOVE THEM FROM THE FREAKIN GAME. And yeah, for me and a lot of other players, those cards will cease to exist. I haven't played a single match in casual mode for more than a year. So I will not play "Wild" in the future, esp. because it will be broken as sh1t.
This is even more infuriating, if you keep in mind that they released only 2 Adventures and 2 Expansions and already remove HALF of their additional content from the game,...
And guess what they will do? They'll sell us new Antique Healbots, new Sludge Belchers and at a certain point a new Dr. Boom. Esp. cards like Healbot are irreplaceable and HAVE to exist. So they'll just rerelease 'em with a new picture and a new name. And you have to buy new packs and more packs and more packs,...
Oh boy,...
I think I'm gonna save this post and just copy-paste it whenever a new dumbster comes saying how "Everything's the same, just go play Wild!" and all that other hogwash.

Yes, but Wild will quickly become unbalanced with the new introduction of cards. They will only be focused on having standard gameplay balanced, so Wild will become rampant with OP decks.
I don't think Blizzard is going to f*** it up that badly. I'm sure they have learned their lesson and will create cards with both formats in mind. Especially when they say shit like "You gotta grind gold heroes for both formats." There gonna make crappy cards or op cards in the future, but it will because they're young and suck at this still, not because they don't care. Trust me, this is a step in the right direction.

how about to stop making multiple threads about how much you hate blizzard, if you paid them 600 euros you'll keep playing anyway
All you people who wasted so much money crafting golden cards... Get pwned.

Your cards are still 100% usable and unchanged. They give full refunds when card text is changed.

Yeah, I never wanted to get a full refund of all the wild cards, just those I couldn't get golden otherwise.
And to those saying that everyone would just dust, their wild cArds, wouldn't it mean that wild cards are not used?
