It was also tempting to vote for Sinti, but ended up not doing it. The flavor of Dive is absolutely top-notch. Though I really feel this cards mana cost is off. With only a few exceptions (Sinister Strike, Holy Nova), your Hero is nearly immune for a turn. Given that Iceblock is a Secret and therefore a triggered effect, I feel like Dive should cost about 3 mana as well. Also, all the options Rogue has to gain mana (prep, coin), this feels very strong. Finally, a 1 mana spell in Rogue is always strong because of the combo possibilities it provides. Sorry Sinti :(
My justification for such a low mana cost was, that u have to time Dive very well, to get anything out of it. U cant just slap it down like Ice Block and thats that. If u miscalculate the right time to play Dive, it might just do absolutely nothing. Also, u might not realize that your opponent can kill you with help of cards from hand and thus u might miss the opportunity to save yourself, unlike Ice Block that would save you guaranteed (at least for a turn). It should still be quite strong spell and useful in many situations, but i feel like its weaker(-ish) than Ice Block, since there is more finesse to this to get the proper value out of it.
I get that, but Rogue can cheese out spells way faster and more efficient than mage can, and has a lot more spell and combo synergy while Mage focuses mainly on burn... I think this shouldve been 2-3 mana and still wouldve been a T1 card :( sry
I think 2 mana was the right cost for Dive. There was no time for feedback, though, since you posted it minutes before the deadline.
