As the War of the Ancients rises, sargeras threatens Azeroth and the Mighty heroes are strugling to stop him. The common mortals strive to save their live in the journey to escape fierce soldiers of the Burning Legion.
Now when you know a little abou the lore i introduce to you the first legendary and a new Keyword, Venture:
The frail but smart Grummel Gummrl Ran leads the caravan through the dangerous land of Kalimdor.
@Otovent Venture is a very hard mechanic to navigate. It's going to take a lot that I wouldn't, personally, want to deal with. That being said, it seems you already have taken some advice to balance cards. I think Drought is interesting. Caravan Wagon is a good card to show off Venture because it shows how many mind-games you're going to be playing when a minion with Venture is on board. The Legendary seems strong. The Murloc could get the effects of a Warleader or anything. There are a lot of good minions like Warleader, Finja, etc. that really could change the game. I'm certain that the minion is strong, but I'm unsure how to balance it. Perhaps a 2/5
"Let those petty mortals have their grand tournament." Arthas said. "We'll host a contest of our own."
This expansion is about the Spectral Trials- the Lich King's response to the Argent Tournament and a way for him to prepare his minions for the upcoming battle. All undead will gather at Icecrown- death knights, liches, abominations and ghouls- in order to fight for the ultimate honor of leading the Lich King's forces into battle. However, there are spies at the Trials- Forsaken and memebers of the grand tournament will both try to sabotage the Spectral Trials, so that the Lich King is easier defeated later.
One of the competitors is the fierce lich Zaros, whose knowledge of dark magic allows him to easily resurrect after being defeated:
Zaros has a dual use- he's a revivable token and he's also a source of pseudo-permanent spell damage, though tricky to use since if you play a non-damaging spell first you'll resurrect him and lose the bonus.
This expansion also introduces a new mechanic:
X can be either nothing (so it triggers whenever ANY minion dies), a tribe (only triggers when a Beast/Murloc/ Demon dies) or something else (friendly/enemy/battlecry/deathrattle minion etc.).
Here are some more cards:
Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Also, this is an expansion I already started a while ago, so question to mods: is it OK if I participate in the competition with cards I've already created or do I have to design new ones for each Phase?
@Wiener_Schnitzel I really like Scavenge and the idea around the expansion is pretty amusing. "I'll have my own tournament, with pillaging and SCOURGE!" I like Power of the Damned, seems like a fair card. Although, Scarlet Purifier is the inverse and attached to a minion. Maybe it should be as well? Then again there are a ton more minions that don't have deathrattle, so perhaps it's wise to not do that. Restless spirit is a good card for showing off your Scavenge effect. Soul Harvester could become a real beast too. It's an interesting card. Fungal Monstrosity would definitely find its home in priest and rogue. (MILL NEVER DIES!) But is the drawback enough? Drawing two cards Versus summoning 1 minion from the deck. I dunno. Seems alright I guess, I'm not really sure.
Alright, I know I posted a few pages back, but I got no feedback and I already changed my ideas, so disregard my earlier stuff. I"m Still going with Duskwood. It's just I'm taking the mods and Asylums advice to heart and restructured what I want to show off as well as show off a bit more of what my expansion does. I swapped out the rare and legendary, and changed Forlorn Soul. Deathrattle and Poisonous are two keywords that will be cropping up amidst the dark underbelly of duskwood. As well as being a fair amount of Token Destruction and Creation. So here goes.
Plague Worm +Stiches
Coalpelt Bear is just there to be a good taunt for hunters. They sort of need one because the only thing they get is MIsha 1 out of 3 times from Animal Companion.
Plague Ghoul is a card to annoy your opponent by summoning two taunts with poisonous. A cheap early game minion that seems fair to me.
Forlorn Soul I decided to make neutral because there are 0 playable neutral silence cards and although this one does have a drawback, I think it's playable enough people would want to run a copy. BEsides I had another idea for Priest I don't want to show off yet that would fit into the Epic Slot.
Abercrombie+Sitches: I just wanted to create a card based upon the iconic Embalmer and his creation. I think there's a lot of flavor and you can get a pretty beefy Stiches if you play your cards right. Just make sure you opponent doesn't have removal or you're gonna have a bad time.

I like the idea of Coalpelt Bear very much. It may be a plain and boring card but it has good stats (i would even give it +1 Hp), it would be very good in a Dinomancy deck.
Plauged Ghoul, cool idea the balancing is pretty much ok, tho shouldn't the worms be a beast?
Even tho its a nice idea Forlorn Soul would've been pretty useless imo, try making it cost less and have lower stats, then maybe some silence priest wouldve use it.
Abercrombie imo is overpriced. 7 or even 6 mana would've been good. Also does the stiches kill the abercrombie?

Worms should probably be a beast. I'll think about Forlorn Soul cost reduction. I meant to put all other minions on Abercrombie so that it doesn't destroy itself. The whole concept of Stitches in game is that he protects Abercrombie when he attacks Duskwood and once Stiches dies ABercrombie is an easy kill. Perhaps it is overpriced, I dunno.
OK so this is the idea for the expansion I have thought of (and be amazed by my MS paint skills :P)
The Gurubashi Empire was once a powerful nation in Azeroth and the Gurubashi Arena was its way to show everyone how powerful they were. But for years, Gurubashi Arena has been known for it few champions who wish to gain the Arena's rare treasure, as well as the many who lost their lives trying to get that fame.
But now the Arena has started to buzz again. Goblins have been re-building the Arena, mighty heroes have travelled far to this place, showing the people that they are just as powerful as the Gurubashi Empire once was. Now is the time for the Gurubashi Arena to show the people Azeroth's most powerful heroes, as well as the many challengers who wish to claim that fame for themselves.
Welcome to Gurubashi Arena challenger. Are you strong enough to claim the Arena's prize?
I will be using these keywords:
And some example cards:
So what do you think? Like the idea? Do you think there are some cards that need to change? Let me know what you think.
Okay, so I just wanted to do a quick Lore-Check to make sure I'm not screwing anything up before going any further with the cards (I only did a little snooping around on the WoW wiki):
I wanted to do my expansion based on the forsaken's Apothecaries and their New Plague, the concept being that they're trying to spread it across the land, and other people are trying to stop them. This means that the nine classes would roughly be aligned into non-explicit sort of pro-plague and anti-plague 'factions' like they are in gadgetzan, with the generally 'evil' and more 'apothecary-y' classes (by this I'm referring to Warlock, Rogue, Shaman, and Druid) being affiliated with the Plague whilst the others are formed into a sort of 'Crusade' against it (Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Mage, and Hunter). I'm not sure what to call the crusade, but it'd definitely have to have a name. These 'alignments' could change. Prepare for Grand Apothecary Putress and an alternate Sylvannas Windrunner as legendaries.
New Keyword:
This, of course, is primarily going to be used in the 'Plague' classes. This exists as a large theme of the expansion, with cards that interact specifically with both Spores and Infected minions. For example 'Infect all friendly minions', or a minion with 'Infected minions have -2 attack'. The spores, of course, can have both offensive (taking up enemy board space, especially if they have no buffs) and defensive (blocking attacks) use. Some minions will start off infected. Other effects can involve spores, such as 'Destroy a Spore and gain +2/+2', or 'Destroy a Spore and Infect minions adjacent to it'.
I'm considering an overwatch-themed expansion, assuming we don't have to use warcraft as a theme?
Hearthstone is missing cool alternate triggers, and I'm always sad that inspire flopped - this is another attempt at an alternate trigger based on the ultimate effects in overwatch - cards would have the ultimate "wheel" at their base when in play.
I guess i will try my best with the War of the Ancients Expansion. Demons, Dragons, Wild Gods, Night Elfs, Taurens, Earthen Dwarfes, Furbolgs, etc. Also this is a great opportunity to make Illidan great again. Not sure if i include any new mechanis, but i will try to mess around with some underused ones, like Spell Damage in the example below.

How does that sound?
Sorry but if you want this to be lore compliant, the only faction that would deal with the plague would be some Forsaken (ONLY) Warlocks/Mages. Putress and his followers were a small sect of the Forsaken that were dealt with. Druids would not be 'pro plague', they are all about restoring nature, the exact opposite of what the Plague does, which is destroy all life. Shamans work with the elements. Rogues are more mercenaries. Some are evil, some aren't, but no one wants to destroy all life but Forsaken.Everyone sort of wants to live, which is why production of the new plague was stopped by all sides. Including the other Forsaken. Grand Apothecary Putress could only ever be an adventure, in my opinion. Not enough there with his group to create an expansion.
If you still want to use an infectious spore concept that is more general you could look at Gorgrond in Draenor. There the red mist let out spores that infected creatures. There's also a ton of awesome plant elementals and stuff to look for to inspiration.

Earthen Protector I don't really like. Minions that only take one damage at a time are rather dangerous to print (especially with Taunt) because they could be heavily abused by classes like Priest who easily have the ability to heal it and give it more Health.

Looking Through The Gate Of Time Raiders of the Lost Chest
*New theme: Cavern Of Time (8 possible Dungeon/Raids inspiration). *New Mechanics: Soul Bag (Whenever a minion die, your Soul Bag gain 1 point. These points "Shards" are used to enhance or activate new cards). *New Keyword: Rhapsody (At the start of the game this card is duplicate, both copy are shuffled in your deck. An effect will start when you draw, discard, burn, discover the first and will stop with the second).
Hey, new page. Now, I can post my entry. I don't have a name for the expansion yet, so if you have one and would like to share it, that would be really nice.
Themes of my expansion:
New keyword and item in the game, Dark Matter Orbs.
Clever, innovative, unique card designs.
Controlled choices. You get to decide a lot of how you use the effects.
Mostly very dark themed in terms of art.
Skalvar's Tokens
Oh, if we look at Dragon Knight, we see it has an effect upon spending Dark Matter Orbs. When you play a card with this ability, you get to decide how many Orbs you spend (including 0 as an option if you don't wish to spend any) with a Discover-like interface similar to cards like Kalimos, Primal Lord, Curious Glimmerroot or Totemic Slam (the Justicar upgraded Shaman Hero Power). If you look at Skalvar, his Dark Contract will remove your power to ascend and but you back into your regular self at any point you wish.
Be warned though, Dark Matter Orbs DO NOT regenerate when you spend them, so make your choices wisely.
Post your feedback and I will try to return it.

I have a question.
It says we need to make 7 cards for each class in total, which includes 3 commons, 2 rares, 2 epics and a legendary...
Does that mean we actually have to make 8 cards for each class?
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
