It's strong, likely to draw two cards effectively in a lot of situations (though the 2 damage is much stronger than the adapt, I'd think?). Maybe you could make it whenever the minion survives taking damage? Like Patron etc.
That's exactly what it is already, same as Patron :p
Edit: I just had a thought... this Choose one effect will be awful when used Fandral Staghelm... back to the drawing board i guess
Edit: again: Updated original post with new Mutation, now the second effect will deal damage to a random enemy minion so it synergises with Fandral properly
Hmm I see your point. I'm not sure how this would work on the battlefield, since Shifter Zerus, as you said, works in the hand which might make the interaction work differently. Still, I feel like what makes Shifter Zerus work like that is actually the way he's worded, which goes out of its way to state that the effect happens "each turn" he's in your hand. It's probably not the safest choice, but I think I'll stick with it anyway because I really like the idea :)
Thanks for the reply.
That being said, I was wondering if you could help me with one more thing. I think I made it fit the aesthetic I was intending better on my second try. Of the two, which of these do you like better, flavorwise?
Yeah it's definitely an interesting one! Yeah sure go for it :) it's a cool concept!
One thing I would say though is that it shouldn't be legendary, thus far only the new Quests are legendary spells.
I wouldn't go with the Adaptive Ancestry one, mainly because the same art has already been used by this weeks winning... er ah... a great entry on page 1 in the form of Manasaurus by Lathy :p
Here's a simple idea. Having trouble finding art for some ideas, but I like this one so far.
Edit: Goddamit I spelled it wrong again :(
I like it! Hmmm. So I really wanted to use "Rare-a-Dactyl" (with the rare gem ofc) but I'm going in a diff direction. Feel free to take the pun if u want it :P :D
The wording is a bit clunky though... maybe something like "Only this minion can be targeted by opponents spells" or something like that.. even that isn't great. It's a tough one :p
Alright scrapped my other idea - and it seems somebody else has decided to do a Raptor's Nest anyway so best had eh! Blizz loves their pop culture references and this popped into my head, wondering about the balance, thematically I think it's on point - Muldoon the sneaky beast hunter, the clever raptor that ignores taunt (because in the film they test the fences for weak points).
It's a 6 mana 11/8 with partial charge. However it's both a class card and a legendary and it relies upon a beast heavy meta (appropriate for Un'goro then!). I think it's balanced pretty well, but up for opinions.

Hahah thanks xD yeah I'm not sure on that one, since 'taunt for spells' has probably been done a million times already. Also yeah, awkward wording. "Spells must target this minion." might be okay... just want to make it clear that it's only for targetable spells, but that might be obvious. Well anyway, I'm gonna post my other 2 ideas soon. It's gonna be hard for me to choose eek!! :P

You could word it like Spellbender for consistency? Something like "Whenever the enemy casts a spell on a minion, cast it on this one instead"

Yeahhh that definitely sounds good, and I may go with it... but I actually took a look at Spellbender and decided against that wording because I wanted it to also have "spell taunt" for when the opponent wants to target face. hmmmm.

as much as I was dreading the clever girl references (check out the first reply to this thread, hehe) this is pretty damn good. I like the idea of a Deathrattle having a conditional! Ignoring taunt is also a cool thing to see. No idea if it's balanced but I like the flavor and the mechanics. Well done!
"Whenever the enemy casts a targeted spell, use this minion as the target" perhaps? I think if it's going to block face spells it may be a tad too strong at 1 mana and 5 HP (only a tiny bit) but I could well be wrong.
And thanks! Jurassic Park is my favourite film, I can quote the entire thing line by line so I'm just glad I could make the reference before anyone else snuck in haha. It feels balanced to me, when judging it usually helps to compare to existing cards and the value certain things have :
6 mana 6/6 with Stealth would be balanced (Stranglethorn Tiger is 5/5 5 mana Stealth). That's 12 stats and 6 mana. This has 11 stats at 6 mana so has a spare stat point. It's also a class card (worth 1-2) and a legendary (worth at least 1-2 stat points) so that's up to 5 stat points, then with the Deathrattle being both delayed and very conditional I figured that justified the last 3 + the charge.

I don't think Spellbender is a good reference for this because it's a Secret, so your opponent doesn't know the target is different so they target another minion as normal.
But for Wee Dinosaurceress it's a known effect, so the opponent should only have the option to target that card. Plus it should also prevent face damage too.
How about "Your opponents spells must target this minion."
Edit: oh oops you've already decided on that exact wording yourself :P

yeahhh, so the only concern I have with the oncurvasaur is that its great on curve (duh) but is horrible otherwise. and people don't like RNG (and ofc cards in opener is RNGish). I'll sleep on it, see if I get more opinions in the morning. xD thx again!

Haha no problem :)
Ha well yeah true it's not great played off curve :p
"Did you feel that!?... There's something out there!"
And here's another for Druid
Old version:
"Although it has never been proven, theories abound of a mysterious theropod that was once the greatest predator in all of Azeroth, long before the dawn of man, elf or dwarf. It is said that this creature had the ability to adapt to any situation and could survive and thrive where others would die and fade into dust. But I guess not... because they're all dead!"
Having a tough time balancing both of these so help is appreciated :)
Edit: Changed Mutation so it deals damage to a random enemy minion. This way it's a bit less powerful but it will have proper synergy with Fandral Staghelm
Oooo I really like your druid card! Very cool concept, and seems well balanced. The hunter card isn't bad, just a bit less interesting to me.
ps the OCD in me really wants you to adjust the art so that the dark bushes on the right side of the theropod aren't showing. LOL.

Okay guys, here are my final 3 cards. Do any of these stand out to you? Thanks in advance for any feedback!! It's gonna be so hard for me to pick xD
