I'm going to assume that this type of thread has been hashed and rehashed, but I didn't want to necromancer older threads regarding it.
Why has the Blood Imp been so marginalized? It seems to me that it is an extremely solid alternative to the Young Priestess. It's a one cost 0/1 that bumps the health of a random allied minion and has the nifty benefit of stealth, which makes it prey to AoE. Now on the flip side of the token is the Priestess which is also a one cost but has a 2/1 for stats and possesses the same abilities of the Imp. Sure, it can dole out damage, but it can be targeted. Survivability for the Young Priestess seems a bit lessened when compared to its ability counterpart.
Is it due to the fact that the Imp is Warlock only whereas the Priestess is usable by every class? By no means am I taking digs at the Priestess, it just seems to me that there is a distinct advantage the Blood Imp has.

Y'know, sometimes I'm convinced that if it weren't for bad luck that I'd have no luck whatsoever.
I think it's because it is Warlock-only. I agree the stealth is more valuable than the +2 attack, and I see Warlocks run Blood Imp much more often if they run one of those two.
Which one you see will depend on which type of Warlock you're facing.
A demonlock will probably use the Blood Imp because it's hard to remove and combos with cards that require Demon targets. A zoolock will probably use the Young Priestess because it can swing at the face and/or trade up without the use of other cards.
Right now zoolocks are the more common of the two, so you're going to see the Young Priestess more often, even in Warlock decks.
Priestess simply tends to be better because that +2 attack means more face damage AND/OR trades.
This exactly. You have more options with the Priestess than you do the Blood Imp. Also, if your opponent targets it, that's a trade they're making and not going for face.
I suppose also that when a aoe hits (and it WILL) the blood imp will die without having a chance to trade or do damage that the priestess may have had.

Poetic.
