Wow, Beast Druid might actually become a thing. If it does, this will surely become a staple as it generates a lot of value if it's in your hand. Still not sure how great Beast Druid might be, but this is a pretty good card.
Bolvar isn't a bad card because he's slow in fact if bolvar's effect said "can't be targeted by silence effects" on top of his normal effect he'd be great even if he only triggered his power 2-3 times, BOlvar is bad because you invest so much on raising him and then he gets silenced and drops college to smoke weed making you very dissapointed on him.
They always have to be in hand. Only the Giants mana reduction work out of hand. Can you name any other minion that gets mana reduction the way you want it to work? Even Mech Warper requires it to be on board to offer a reduction.
In a beast themed deck, this is probably a 5 mana 6/6, quite possibly 4 mana 6/6. Cards like Savage Combatant and Kodo could strengthen the beast flow. Maybe Malorne could make his debut? Everyone and their aunts run BGH anyways, so there might be some value there.
Good point about the giants, but why then be so specific with Bolvar and leave this one vague? I am holding to hope on this one!
That's exactly the problem. Hopefully they'll make an official statement about it on Twitter or Facebook. If it doesn't need to be in hand, man oh man, the value that card would draw in a beast deck. Draws out removal like Fireball or Shadow Word: Death and dodges Big Game Hunter.
Would things like the boar from Razorfen Hunter or other token beasts count towards this?
That's a good question. I'm going to guess and say that it wouldn't work in this regard due to the fact that the boar isn't played but rather a summon from a battle cry. But I may well be wrong.

Does anyone know either (A) where this card art is from or (B) if this is based on any pre-existing Warcraft character, or if it is an entirely new concept? I don't remember seeing any of Cenarius' Children in knightly armor in Icecrown back in Wrath (maybe I'm just forgetting something). I'm not complaining, I'm just curious — I guess it makes sense enough with every faction in the universe itching to participate in this Grand Tournament apparently. I can even buy that warlock demon knight, silly as it is.

Also the card starts with Knight, not Druid.
2 this cards + 2 new Giants and Beast Druid with build-in powerhouse is ready
I was SOOOOOOOOOO excited when I saw this, until I learned it has to be in your hand to start discounting mana.
If it did the Frost Giant way, Beast Druid would have definitely become a thing
If it has to be in hand, it kinda sucks.

It never said it had to be in your hand right like frost giant? I can see it being played if the effect works while in deck.
My legendary count excluding adventure legendaries, dupes and old murk eye: 40
$$$ spent on this game: 0

So you need to have this in hand and summon 3 beasts for this to be good. Not optimistic.

Love is new beast Druid archetype. Druid of the flame might actually see some play now.
VOTE FOR MY CARD in the Card Creation Competition of the week.
I'll play it in my druid.

The curse of the unwanted sig space.

Well the new Druid beast deck along with dragon Warrior is the first deck I wanna try and this is a nice card!
Knight of the Wild clearly states "whenever you summon" so Razorfen Hunter, Power of the Wild and even Unleash the Hounds will definitely reduce the mana cost of this minion if you have it in your hand.
main problem with this card is that you want it in your hand and you dont want it in your hand.
I like how it also triggers of druid of the Xs.
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.

With the way Druid can ramp this guy could hit the stage around turn 4 depending on how the beast summoning works.
