Also a buff to a potential Ancestral Healing deck. 2/4 taunt turn 1 would be decent play vs aggro. Too bad Shaman doesnt have a turn 2 reliable healing minion or this card would bevery interesting for shaman.
He can be good with some cards like resurrect, circle of healing, ancestral healing, reincarnate, rampage, battle rage, ancestral spirit, and healing totem (shaman hero power).
Does anyone know what happens when you play this card against a Paladin's Repentance? Does this card kill itself? I would assume it would be the same answer as Injured Blademaster but I don't know the answer to that one either.
I'm so happy they finally fixed up the card text with this, and how they stuffed up with Injured Blademaster saying 'HIMSELF'. It should definitely read 'this minion'.
I don't understand, are you saying that Injured Blademaster should be sex-neutral? I would agree if it was some sort of spell that could potentially target other things, or if its sex wasn't clear. But Injured Blademaster is a shirtless male orc with a long white beard. I see no problem with it saying 'HIMSELF'.
I think Injured Blademaster was in a good spot for the priest's early game at 3 mana. I understand though, that this guy can draw cards a bit faster with Northshire Cleric. I'm doubtful.
Looks great for the return of crusher shaman! Injured blade master and black knight alone weren't enough for ancestral healing synergy, but with 1/6 of your deck synergizing with a 0 mana cost spell I could see control shaman decks running this. Along with totem golem, shaman will have reasonable early game to play a control game, a 2/4 taunt for 1 mana isn't to shabby even for mid game if you combo it. Also synergies with healing totem just as blade master does, so if you can't combo it with ancestral there's always hope for healing totem value. While zombie chow is better for most other decks, Resurrect +Coh Priest and Crusher shaman will use this over zombie show. It's basically a 3 drop (2/4) for 1 mana. Priest might prefer Zombie chow for soul priest but this card fits right into shaman. Perhaps Earthen ring farseer could get value with a 4 mana 2/4 + 3/3 for a later play, thats a 2 card combo for a 4 mana 5/7.
Other notes on this card, not as good as zombie chow vs mirror entity but still gives the mage a 2/1 instead of a 2/3 so not completely obsolete. Makes an already struggling Hungry dragon that much worse. The new 3/4 legendaries with on target effect also create value for ancestral healing making this card fit in that deck a little better. Perhaps Dragonkin sorcerer or violet teacher could see play in addition with the shaman self spell variant.

It's just better if cards that do the same thing have the same text, I suppose.
Yeah I see your point. I do like consistency, though honestly I wouldn't mind if the card just interchanged the final word with 'himself', 'herself' and 'itself'. Maybe I'm just used to the way Injured Blademaster is worded but something about it referring to itself with the text 'to this minion' seems weird.
4 mana 2/3 and a card with Northshire Cleric and hero power ... and so on
It's not bad. It does have potential to compete the 1 mana slot with Zombie Chow.
None of those situations are strong enough for constructed.
Now you can't say that for sure. Imagine in priest where you play it turn 1 and heal it turn 2. You end the turn with a 2/3 on 2. That isn't bad. It's not amazing but it's not TERRIBLE.
I suppose worst case scenario in priest is you draw it late and it is actually a 3 mana 2/3 but you have to consider the best case scenarios too like turn 1 Injured Kvaldir, turn 2 coin Blademaster into Circle of Healing, or the same play on turn 3 with a northshire cleric for +2 draw. Even in existing decks it COULD find a place.

In constructed you need much better than "Not terrible." The Blademaster is by far the best part of that best case scenario. Adding Kvaldir to your deck greatly increases your early game risk while negligibly (+1 hp on Chow) increasing your reward if you happen to draw all 3 combo pieces.
Very good synergy with priest: CoH, Injured Blademaster+CoH, NSC, Shadowboxer, Resurrect, Light of Naaru, HP. No need to be played exclusively in T1, as any combo with injured minions on board+ this+ CoH (or + Holy Nova) can be insane, especially with NSC and/or Shadowboxer on board.
Adding this to Holy Champion, the two Darkbanes, Master of Ceremonies ... I'm about to change my favorite class from mage to priest...
Finally a viable aggro priest prototype?
This. I woke up happy this morning :)

This is to Priest as Patron is to Warrior; a neutral that's basically a class card.
Probobly worth mentioning this plus Earthern Ring Farseer is a 2/4 and a 3/3 for 4 mana.
Current Deck -http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/240420-army-paladin - Token Paladin
As a Priest player, I have to admit... I came.
"The light shall burn you!" - heals face.

VS
1 mana 2/1.
2 mana 2/4 with Light of the Naaru.
3 mana 2/3 with hero power or 2/4 and a card with Northshire Cleric and Light of the Naaru
4 mana 2/3 and a card with Northshire Cleric and hero power ... and so on

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.
This is really good, a great t1 for priests.

Aggro priest incoming... I'm warning you!
January 2016: Circle of Healing nerfed to 1 mana
Seriously what is with this mini versions of already existing cards. :)
They should have made it priest only card since there is no point to put it in any other deck.
You either die a pimp, or you live long enough to see yourself become the hoe

Priest:
Turn 1 this. Turn 2 Resurrect.
Also coin turn 1 this and Northshire Groopie, throw Circle of healing and voilà: early board presence for priests. Finally.

Don't know why they release neutral class cards but looks nice. Will try it in Priest
Who can take your trash out?
Stomp it down for you?
Shake the plastic bag
