FON+SR = 14 damage (usually). We can even throw in a Living Roots for 16 total.
Meanwhile, 2 fireballs + frost bolt = 15 damage. And those don't even have to worry about taunt.
Shaman has a similar OTK. Anyfin paladin, maly rogue....etc etc etc.
Does Bliz need to nerf every class? Because most classes can run a deck that can deliver as much damage (or more) in a single turn as FON+SR.
Fireballs and (especially) Frostbolts are used as removal throughout the game. Roar and FoN are rather infrequently used as removal.
Anyfin Pally is an extremely slow deck that often has to draw its entire deck before it can safely go off. It also lacks the ability to build a decent board state and relies entirely on stall tactics to survive. Druid just needs to get to turn 9, in the process building a strong board which is also a setup for the combo.
Maly rogue: Like Anyfin, it can't build a board state. Relies on stalling until it can burst.
Lol. So fireballs and frostbolts have the additional flexibility of being great removal, and that is somehow a disadvantage?
I like Noxious idea - make Savage Roar work only on beasts. It seems like Blizzards pushes beast Druid, and that will be best way to do it.
Agree. FoN on it's own is not an issue.
Savage Roar makes no sense currently as is. It should only affect beasts, or something like that.
How does a Piloted Shredder "roar"? Or even a Treant? Noxious made a good point about cards making sense thematically/fitting in with the lore, and the current iteration of Savage Roar affecting all minions just doesn't fit. Plus, it's too cheap for what it does in affecting all minions.
So, make it beast-only is a good change, or make it cost more and like Bloodlust.
Curious to see what Blizz does on this one. There will definitely be tears either way...
Funniest thing is reading the old comments from early 2015 justifying this combo, and here we are over a year later and Druids are dominating the ladder with this combo. Curious what the people from the early pages think? Is FoN+SR still balanced? hah

What do you mean still dominating the ladder? Before LoE Druids were usually tier 2, especially back before the Warsong nerf.

Wrong word choice, you got me. Still an OP combo, regardless of since when or how long.

im almost sure we will see a nerf for one of those cards, possible savage roar, maybe increasing its cost to 4 mana?
that way the combo is not possible in 1 turn.
Uh....it's been paladins since TGT.
