I mainly play warrior, and really don't see either The Black Knight (too situational) or Gruul (probably killed right away) as that great. Are they worth keeping? I'm only asking in case there's some amazing use for them that I'm missing. Otherwise I think they'd be better as dust.
It depends how many cards you already have, and how many cards you NEED to make a deck work. For certain though, don't dust them without knowing exactly what cards you'll buy.
Gruul being killed right away? That's the same problem that nearly every legendary has. The black knight is not a card I like. I've seen him played once, and he wasn't game changing like Gruul (who has to be killed or you basically lose). I wouldn't dust anything until you need to. If you wanted a legendary wait till you have the 800 dust on hand. Until than stick them in your deck for a few and see what you think.
None of them are that bad. Cards like The Black Knight that remove a minion and give yourself one on a single card tend to give a huge swing in momentum (See Argent Commander, Stampeding Kodo, Keeper of the Grove) While he's a bit situational, its more of that taunt cards are a bit out of flavor nowadays. You still see Sen'jin Shieldmastas pop up often. Defender of Argus is probably the most popular way to see taunters nowadays, regardless if they just use it for it's stats. He does net you multiple targets to hit though, possibly something more valuable that never should have taunt. He still has the stats of a Chillwind Yeti if you are forced to play him without the effect, which ain't too bad after all.
Even if you find yourself not facing enough taunters to variant it in your deck, it is worth keeping until the meta shifts (You'd love him when people starts throwing Ironbark Protectors and Sunwalkers at you.) Now if you want him to be more reliable, you could try playing him in a druid deck. By using Mark of the Wild or Mark of Nature on the enemy you can have a reliable removal if anything gets way out of hand. A bit gimmicky indeed but having the opportunity available could save you one day.
As for Gruul, he is quite a "boring" minion in all regards. He is still a good pickup for any deck that needs a late game threat in case you lack alteratives. IMO, his main strength is that he "heals" himself every turn he stays alive by 2, so your opponent has to take him out in the very turn you play him or he really has to struggle to get him down. Yes, he is a subject to removal, but so are many other late game threats. While he can get silenced, the "heal" still has effect in case he were wounded. Just be a bit careful when you play him.
On the other hand. I don't see that much pure removal spells outside of Priests, Mages and Shamans. Not all Mages and Shamans use 2 copies of Hex and Polymorph in their decks. Also, Mind Control will have an increased mana cost soon so there will be a room to play him even if vs a priest. There certainly are use for him as a late game threat regardless.
To wrap up. I'd keep them both as they will likely be better/more useful in time as the majority of players changes their way how they play the game. Now if you are desperate for dust I'd prioritize DE Gruul over The Black Knight.
Gruul might be worth trying out. Black Knight seems way too situational.
Edit: Thanks for the post Erskow. I don't have a need for them right now but I think I'll keep both. I have Grommash, Ragnaros, and Leeroy for my warrior deck, but maybe when I switch to another class or the meta changes the Knight and Gruul will come in handy.
Those are both "GOOD" cards.... no reason to dust them unless you need some class cards (not grom!) , the very reason we use the word "Meta" is because it is always moving and its what is popular currently.... so if you deep six a card today it maybe needed tomorrow
its why crafting is beautiful for blizz too... in a constantly changing meta destroying cards is more valuable to them than you...

It depends on the sort of decks you're using and perhaps even the rank you play at. Black Knight is decent if you're running a rush-heavy deck (which you probably are as a warrior). The problem with Gruul is that he comes in far too late; he can be devastating if allowed to grow, but chances of that are fairly low because any competent player will have plenty of removal spells for a situation like this.
That said, Neither of these two cards is a sure keeper like Ragnaros, Leeroy, Sylvanas, etc.

Yes, but the most useful legendaries are guaranteed to do something first with either a battlecry or a deathrattle. These are the kind of legendaries that tend to be more highly demanded and sought out.

Keep Black Knight. he's into the new meta.
