Vectus does not do what the card says he does. Fix vectus! Each whelp gains a deathrattle from one of my dead deathrattle cards. If I’ve only played one deathrattle card, each whelp should get that deathrattle. Fix the card, or fix the English!
sure they could be redundant and add "from different deathrattle minions" to that, but it should be clear as is
#languageishard
Yeah, this is correct. To work exactly like OP wants, apart from changing the code (obviously), card text should be changed to "Each gains the Deathrattle from a random minion of yours that died this game."
I don't want to be redundant, just wanted to make that 100% clear. :P
Note: Edited for further explanation. Previous proposed card text was: "Each gains a Deathrattle from a random minion of yours that died this game." which would make more sense for what OP was asking.
I disagree. “From your minions” means from among your minions that died this game. It clearly says “each gains a deathrattle”. But each does not gain a deathrattle. The card does not do what it says it does.

Dude, it's pretty obvious the card text is indicating the deathrattle each whelp gains is going to be from different minions of yours with deathrattle that died that game. That's why it works that way.
Ah but the beauty of a digital game is that the card just does what it does, you don't need to bother with what the text actually says.
You misinterpreted the card when you first read it. But now you know how it works, you have learned the interaction, and can play accordingly.
Hearthstone is well known for inconsistencies and misleading text, but its not really a problem because all you have to do is play the card a few times to figure it out.

What are you talking about? Card text is clear to me and English is not even my first language.

I edited that post of mine for you OP. Not only you must pay attention to "from your minions" in the original card text, but also to "a Deathrattle" instead of "the Deathrattle" (which wouldn't make any sense in the current context). Hope now it is more clear for you.
Things you must pay attention to in the current card text to understand it clearly: "Battlecry: Summon two 1/1 Whelps. Each gains a Deathrattle from your minions that died this game."
How the card text should have been written to work the way you want: "Battlecry: Summon two 1/1 Whelps. Each gains a Deathrattle from a random minion of yours that died this game."
I don’t have the card. So what happens if the only dead deathrattle you have is a single loot hoarder? Only one whelp gets it, and the other has no deathrattle?

Exactly, because the card says: "Each gains a Deathrattle from your minions that died this game."

Ok, this text is clearly wrong. Can someone help me, please, without changing it too much? Because if not, I'm going to throw my f..king computer away! XD
if they both got the deathrattle from the same minion wouldn't they have "each gain[ed] a Deathrattle from your minions that died this game."
i agree with OP that, since they are two different minions, it would make plenty o' sense if they had they're own pool to grab from.
its not the same as raise dead or Da Undahtakahhahah.
it is also true that it could clearly be either, and pontificating could be pedantic which, in the words of M. Tyson, would be "ludicrous!"
I don't know, dude, I just read the card the way it currently works all the time. Maybe it has to do with the fact I'm not a native English speaker and only see it from my own perspective.
Actually, whelp gains only 1 dr if only 1 dr minion died because of graveyard system in HS. Since only 1 minion died, there is only one minion in the graveyard, so only 1 whelp gets the dr. If 2 copies of the same minion died (2 loot hoarders) then both whelp will gain the same dr (loot's hoarders' dr).
If they want to keep the current functionality, they should change the language to make it correct. They could say "each whelp gains the deathrattle of different minion of yours that has died in this game." That sure is clunky, which is why they took an unclear shortcut, I guess.
At any rate, the card text now is wrong. It says "each gains a deathrattle" when that does not happen.
I crafted Vectus to play him in decks with primes. There are no other deathrattle minions in these decks. I was quite surprised when my 2nd whelp had no deathrattle, since the wording of the card indicates that each gains a deathrattle.

The card in question for the people out there who are not familiar with it yet:
Ok, this is a f..king mess! XD

Done, LOL! XD
At this point, yeah, f..k grammar! XD
Writting some card texts is not easy, now I perfectly understand Blizzard. :P
Edit: Had to f..king edit things again, F..K ME!!! XD

Guys, guys, maybe it is this shit all over again, but now in card text format! :P
Where the hell is the Grammar Police when you need it? :P
