Thus, let me be more specific: I meant zoo like tempo decks and was aiming at sanguine reveler or the spell that gives your minions +1/+1 and destroys a minion on your side. The thing is that I am unsure this card is a control card. I don't think control is in much need of lackeys. And for a tempo deck, destroying your own stuff seems bad. Besides, warlocks can tap for good cards from the deck so killing your minions for the gain of 1 card doesn't seem great.
Sure, if it turns out that the lackeys are well worth their mana and the tempo loss on board, this might be played. I doubt it.

We will see, but when Zoo opens up with 1 mana Mecharoo and this card on 2, you are already behind on board and the zoo player did not 'lose' any cards.
They still have a 1/1 on board and a 2/2. Then the 2/2 they played gets replaced by 2 1/1 lackey cards. The zoo deck literally lost no cards. Not only is this strong tempo, this is really strong and hard for most decks to deal with if you don't have the same insane opening.
Also, what can they do on turn 3? They can turn their 2 drop into a 3 drop with the 'evolve' lackey. They can play a lackey that summons another 2 drop. They can do 2 damage and kill your 2 drop minion.
This card is insanely strong, even if you dont have a Mecharoo opening. This card is very strong. So unless we get board clears at 3 mana, this is going to be hard to deal with.
I think this is a good card to be used on voodoo doll. It kills a minion and gives 2 1-cost (discover a spell) lackeys for 5 mana. The lackeys and/or the voodoo doll + evil genius can be copied by barista as well.

Sanguine Reveler didn't see play this won't see play.
If 3/3 stats for 1 mana aren't worth killing your own minion, there's NO FREAKING WAY a random lackey for 2 mana is worth killing your own minion.
The same argument can be made with Ratcatcher. If rush + stat steal isn't worth killing your minion, then a freaking lackey isn't worth it either.
