I played against a Mage deck yesterday in Wild Mode that was using Electrowright and Flame Lances, but that's the only time I've seen them played. I was playing Quest C'thun Druid so managed to take them both out with Ancient Brewmaster and Steel Rager. I find building your own decks to be fun and interesting still, but haven't considered using those particular cards. They'd be pretty interesting in Shaman perhaps, so maybe I'll try it now.
Im more interested to know why OP played one Boomsday day and quit HS?
I was going to quit before boomsday, but was willing to give the expansion a chance. I litterally played for a full day (8 hours or so) and I was just as frustrated as I had been before boomsday so that was it. Started again because I wanted to try out odd mage. (Turns out 2 damage hero power is INSANE against zoo by the way. Decent deck.) But yeah, it's getting to the point where I want to quit again. I want to have fun but it is very hard sometimes. I insta-concede against druids for example, because I just can't even. But then I have to concede against three druids in a row and the fun is gone.
HELL YEAH!! I literally made a home-brew odd mage deck to literally beat zoo and called it: "Fuck you? No, Fuck ZOO!". I hate zoo so much.
Anyway, good for you OP on finding some cards that work in certain decks and promoting non net-decks. I hate those too. Not sure why I still play this game but this gives me a semblance of hope.
That's how you have fun in this game, STOP NET DECKING.
This is only half true. I only play home brews, but half of the fun is what you play against. Playing home brews isn’t enough to have a fun experience every game.
Pretty sure that was just a bad pun. Odd decks can't even.
No that's actually a GOOD pun, that's why I missed it XD
obviously a pun.
anyway I think odd mage is weak it just lacks impact and the odd mage minions are quite weak, also the lack of good odd mage spells make it really bad.. maybe next expansion.. maybe next year.. but not now.
I don't like odd mage cause it just doesn't have powerful plays at all nothing really unfair to it.
also games you concede in you have 0% win rate but those you try to win you at least a chance to win just for the fact that you tried, there are some people that don't know how their deck works at all, some really bad draws too.

Yes, but I don't like PLAYING against druids. It has nothing to do with winning or not.
Electrowright is a pretty good card in Arena, where if it doesnt trigger, whatever and when it does, it is a good tempo turn and the downside of you giving your opponent information about holding a 5+ cost spell doesnt mean much, since there is usually a lot of possibilities what that could be. Can actually even act as a fake out making him believe you have AOE or UI or such while you dont.
Same thing cannot be said about constructed, where if you know your opponent is holding a 5+ cost spell, you are 99% sure what it is. And chances r that a deck that has such a high cost spell in it will value concealing that information more than having a slightly above average minion to play on curve.
Brainstormer might be even worse in this regard, both in Arena and constructed. Givin out the exact number of spells in your hand can have severe consequences.
I actually tried a Spell/Secret Hunter version with Electrowright and Brainstormer, but they weren't that great tbh.

I used Electrowight in Big Spell mage for a while. Its a 5/5 for 3 if you get Keleseth first

Dibbity don't touch that!
