This card is pretty nuts! Holy shit. I'm gonna need a little bit of time to process how strong this is...
First time I agree with you my bro. This is nuts. Even if you keep it on your hand rather than playing it will still be legit good. This card will be in every priest deck. Some will play it for cheese. Some will use it for spying.
If it had DECK instead of HAND it would be a normal legendary because in Hearthstone netdecks are everywhere. But getting a picture of your opponents hand. This is insane. Easily the strongest WW card revealed so far.
It's a great card. Much better than Mind Vision because it transforms every turn. It might copy Azari, completed Mage quest, Ultimate Infestation and stuff like that, if it transforms into trash you just don't play it.
This seems pretty much broken. This can show you what your oppenent is holding, allowing you to play around thier hand better, get access to tools you shouldnt have, and control which one you pick, which is what made operative so strong (granted this is a bit weaker, but it doesnt need an activator)
I think in any control priest deck, this card is almost an insta lock.
Know when your opponent has removal and plan accordingly.
It's Thief Priest Card.
As you can see Alius made a very nice and self-explanatory list. Yes, dear hearthpwn-ers, our little chameleon friend does work like a nice scout, he does give you a lot of knowledge on the opponent's hand and you can use this knowledge to react adequately to the opponent's current and futuristic plays. However this only works in control v control/slow mid-range decks and here are my reasons:
- Against aggro you don't really want to know what their hand consists of, as you can always have a vague idea about it. You can almost always guess. But this isn't important, what's important is that you have to have the best hand in order to answer their threats. If I see a paladin, I'm almost sure, that it will be aggro. That's why I mulligan hard for cheap AoEs and taunts. I don't need any more concrete information, I only need to survive. - And it's not like that I want to use their synergistic cards (pirates) in my control deck anyway. I don't need a stupid 2/1 Deckhand, I need something big. Something, which will help me stop their zerging waves. - Against burn (mage) - I don't really need to know what their hand consists of either. As with the first case I have to try to stabilize as much as possible. And every attempt to get a heal is more valuable than knowing a card of theirs, which I will see in a second. - The card this little chameleon is showing is random. Meaning - imagine how he shows you cards A, B and C over the course of several turns. You don't get a full view of the opponent's hand (that would be broken), but he doesn't skip already shown cards. He might trick you in some situations. - As already mentioned before - a bad top-deck.
I would say, that even in control vs control this isn't that amazing. When I play my control warlock, I always expect my priest players to have hard counters (Mind Control, removals or clears). So I play my threats one by one, in order to minimize their value. So in reality you don't need the Chameleon in your matches, only when you are playing vs a really slow deck.
In other words - you are kinda overrating it, Leute.
For me, card has really interesting mechanic and art :) but the question I would ask first is: Do you really want to store it each turn in hand to check your opponent cards? Cause if you do, you will reduce possible moves you can perform each turn. Of course sometimes this card can copy useful card which we can play instantly but there goes the hard part: use it or leave it on hand just to gain another information about opponents hand... We also need to be aware of copying useless card.. => however you get information but as said previously - less moves to perform this turn. Generally card is pretty pretty good. What I really like the most about it is that you don't play it cause you have enough mana for it but you also have to make hard decisions, probably decisions that will make you win/lose game. :)
Seems very versatile, and can be added so pretty much any Priest deck at little cost. Cheap and universal, in that way it reminds me of Bloodmage Thalnos
Actually there is one. Change the HAND to DECK. Everyone knows what deck their opponents are playing in a net-decking game like Hearthstone and it is not a big deal but getting info on their hand is insane.
It’s meta defining because your opponent always has to play around it, whether you have it or not.
As hunter: do you play your death knight on turn 6, or do you play tempo? If you don’t, they can get your death knight and you have no advantage to close out the game if they psychic scream.
Know when your opponent has removal and plan accordingly.

While i agree it's overrated, ypu are wrong, knowing what aggro mage has in hand is enormus advantage. For example what secrets, does he have aluneth?does he have pyroblast?Playing just to survive is really bad,you need to optimize your plays as much as possible.Same goes for paladin, weapon in hand?how about warleader?you actually can see if it is dude paladinn or murloc, which once again is huge.
Agree with you, too. Who wouldn't want to know if your paladin opponent has Tarim or CtA in their hands. It may change many things for a control priest.

Very interesting arguments, i guess as always only by playing a card can we fully grasp its full potential

My (detailed) opinion on why this card isn't THAT strong as some people give credit for:
Let's start with a post I saw from a fellow user -
- And it's not like that I want to use their synergistic cards (pirates) in my control deck anyway.
